I'm at the final battle right now. I got highly addicted to this game, but now I just don't even want to play it anymore. It really dragged on and I can't even beat the final boss. There's not enough depth, either. I loved Fallout 3. This just doesn't even come close to touching it.
I think this thread saved me 60 bucks.
the final boss in this is a little on the ridiculous side. i finally got to the archdemon last night, but still haven't managed to beat it yet. i do ok until i get it's health a little more than halfway down and it sends all the darkspawn after me. i think i might have used up some of my troops earlier than i wanted.
This game is ridiculously easy, even on nightmare. If your struggling, learn how to use the tactics menu. There are also mods (PC only) that add to the tactic choices, which is a must have IMO.
I like it. One of the better RPGs of the last decade. It has it's ups and downs, but what game doesn't? It's worlds better on PC than the consoles. I can see why some would struggle if playing on a console.
This is more of a true RPG, so if your a RPGer, you'll like it.
Yes, "true rpg". Do you even know what that is? A lot of games get labeled as RPGs but really they are just hack n slash or action adventure where you gain levels and pretty much end up with the same character every time. This is more of an RPG of old. Where you level up, have endless combination of equipment you can tailor to your characters style of fighting, pick and choose your party members, dialog choices that may get you different items and sometimes different stories, lots of hidden things, and your character never ends up the same."true rpg"? give me a break. dime a dozen story and setting combined with repetitive gameplay = generic crap with a bioware touch.
Maybe it's just me. I just find it extremely easy. Wolves are easy to hit with spells. Put the pack to sleep, then have your way with them.Even with the use of tactics, this game is still quite difficult. Every fight could be your last if you are not ready. I had a few times when I whipped the bosses arse and a few minutes later got pwnd by a freakin' pack of wolves.
Character interaction is one of the strong parts of this game. I've had a few interesting encounters at the camp with Morrigan.
