Millions of people around the world saw this and were screaming at the television and .......crickets.. At least suspend this sCrew. Horrible calls and missed calls all night. Not just calls in UT's favor either, equally horrible for UF as well.

Gotta love the couch officials who've never read the rulebook and can't be bothered to go through the system to show that they can do better.

The Refereeing Crews have gone to PC school. If they are going to call holding on one player, than everyone deserves to have holding called against them. Or, just don't call it on anyone and be done with it, right?

I think at this point I'm immune to the bad officiating. I saw the same things everyone else did, but I just don't get as upset about it as I used to. The officials are either incompetent, corrupt, or both. Nothing is ever done about it and I've given up expecting it to. Remember when we thought replay would solve everything? They can't even get that right.

There can basically be a holding call on every play. But, this couch official has the ability to see and call a horsecollar tackle. Those idiots that were actually officiating the game couldnt or wouldn't call it. And it happened on back to back plays.

I don’t know if Florida would have played better or worse if they cracked down hard on holding early in the game, but I would like to have seen it. If the refs set the tone early it changes players’ behavior.

Twice we've been screwed out of touchdowns in the last 5 games (back to the MCB) where replay was clear and the refs still blew the call.

If you're going to have replay, freaking get the call right. It's nuts.

Their hands may have been tied when they couldn't find an angle that showed the ball. They need to be able to use some common sense on one like that though. The real crime was that the booth didn't buzz down for a replay and forced us to burn a timeout to ask for it.

There was one where the UF defender grabbed (but didn't abruptly pull down, which is a huge point of emphasis in the 2022 rulebook) and released the collar and then grabbed the shoulder that everyone is up in arms about. Give me the game time of what you saw. Keep in mind that there is no horse collar penalty when the runner is inside the tacklebox.

I know two SEC officials and I tell them all the time that they are nuts for doing it. One of them literally got stalked 2 years ago over a Pass Interference call.

The first one where Hooker's head snapped back was pretty clear looking. The defender did let go, but it obviously impeded the runner. The second one was iffy at best.

I work a lot of high school baseball but pick brains of those that do football and basketball, along with working their way up. It's really refreshing to actually sit down and talk to them about the process and to read the rulebook instead of relying on what they "learned" from when they played. Makes all the difference instead of just saying "they suck! they're corrupt!"

But the runner has to be pulled down. That's the kicker (no pun intended).
