Will Dobbs have his degree next year? Serious question. I just don't see him leaving without it imo.

He's not leaving early cause its unlikely he gets a 1st round grade this year. But the fact he's already showing up on draft boards means he'll be a big time prospect next year when he's a senior.

Thanks. I believe he will be awesome next year.

This is the reality to which every junior should give strong consideration. 74 underclassmen declared for the 2015 NFL draft; 98 entered the 2014 draft before their eligibility had expired (2015 NFL draft -- number of underclassmen declaring drops). That is 2-3 full rounds of draftees in addition to the full complement of seniors; 36 of the underclassmen from the 2014 class went undrafted. If you don't have a consensus first-round projection, it is wiser to return to school for your senior season and attempt to improve your draft stock.

If your consensus projection is being drafted in the first 3 rounds leave, if not stay. I think that's Saban's recommendation.

I actually think he would be close to a degree because of summer school, but it takes a lot of hours to get an engineering degree.

I hope he gets his degree early so that he can put all that engineering stuff behind him and put 100% into the most important thing in the world...UT football.

If he goes to a team like Tampa Bay that runs the cover 2, he can be a long time starter. He's alot like Lavonta David. Undersized but speedy.

There will definitely be a place for him in the new NFL that is all about passing and defending the pass.

Awesome observation. I think he would be a perfect fit for a Tampa 2 defense. I'm not sure how many teams still run it. I don't think it would be out of the question for him to lean out and move back to a safety position.

According to this article (Joshua Dobbs learns to balance academics, athletics - GoVolsXtra Story), you are correct: "He was taking advanced courses by second grade, which meant high school courses by middle school and enough college credit in high school to be a sophomore the day he stepped on campus in Knoxville. . . . he's also earned enough credits that if he wanted to graduate from his five-year program at the end of this year, he could."

Personally, I would expect Josh to use that senior season of eligibility to cover a year's worth of Master's study.

Pretty sure Sutton will be gone. We do have one JC DB committed right now in Desmond Henderson. I can only hope he is a solid replacement because Moseley and Foreman get burnt way too often.

Sutton is not gone. He has had a very average year.

We may lose Sutton, but u never know. If he is projected to go in the first round, then prob so, but sometimes players stay when they think there is a chance to win a championship & UT should be competing for the SEC Championship next year. They had the talent to win the East this year. If a few things had went a little different this year, they would be undefeated right now or at least 5-1.

Sutton would bank a few million in contract alone if he waited until next year and let Hargreaves, White, Ramsey & Fuller declare.

You have lost your mind if you think Dobbs will be a "big time QB prospect". Love the kid but he is one of the more inaccurate passers I have ever witnessed and doesn't have the build to take the hits in the NFL to run much.

Unless he makes a HUGE improvement in accuracy and the reading of coverages he will be lucky to be a NFL back up.

Sutton is having an average year due to QBs not throwing the ball to his part of the field very much this year

Well too bad you're not an NFL scout because he's already a prospect of note. He's showing up on QB rankings already.

You may not think much of his NFL potential but you're not an NFL scout or GM.

Gotta work on his arm strength and accuracy big time

He's shown plenty of arm and accuracy the last 2 years. He just needs to be more consistent. He isn't like Nick Marshall who rarely showed a QB skillset. Josh already has two 300/100 games.

You don't throw for 300 yards by accident. He's a good passer when he has time. He just needs to be consistent.

Dobbs biggest worry is the 2nd string QB, if he looses his job draft stock will go down. I see him transferring to another school for his BS, and yes he is due to grad 2016 summer I believe since internships are usually given to incoming seniors.

Don't forget Blair, I just don't see him around another year. CBJ is letting him get his degree and will be ask to move on.
