His brand is already damaged. He had announcers cracking jokes on him on CBS.
If I was him it’s gonna take more than $2m to get me to walk away.
That crap he’s put on the field should be cause. Saying he purposely tried to ruin TN hahah
He needs to go but I don’t think $2m is enough to make him even consider walking away from his contract money.

First. The 2 million figure is filler in a hypothetical. That part was immaterial to the question being answered.

Second. I'm giving one plausible scenario at what buttons might be pushed. For all you know the job might be killing his marriage and his home life. Maybe he is miserable his wife is miserable, or would be after three years of him doing a high stress job that he hates. Who knows?

Third. As an attorney and father of 4, I not only deal with caring for a wife and kids, but deal with negotiating with big ego people all the time. There are usually pressure points where people crumple and just want out. Just gotta find it.

Fourth and finally, there are things that no matter how much you paid me, I would refuse to do. Most people I know are actually like that, and I respect that. People who believe that money can buy anything of theirs are generally called mercenaries or prostitutes. I will leave you to your own conclusions about the honor and dignity of either profession.

That all could very well be the case and then you don't have that leverage to mercifully pull the plug on something that clearly isn't working for either party.

But, that seems a little far fetched to me. Family. Furure. Pride. Ego. Those are all buttons to push for the type of people who are coaches at that level.

I suspect we'll get some info on our lack of splash plays, the great way we defended the run, the youth that got valuable experience for next year especially Bailey. The gap is closing. We beat the spread.

Remember, and I didn't want to get into actual numbers answering a question about leverage, but his total buyout is capped contractually at 60% anyway. You could probably get it for half of that paid in lump if you found the right motivation for him to go.

It's a good question. I think you have two items at hand, and only two:
1. You can just quit worrying about it now.
2. We'll say you resigned.

#2 requires an undisclosed settlement, and that might not be possible dealing with a government institution, though. I'm not sure.

Isn't the lump sum what they want to avoid because of lack of reseves? If the boosters would get on board with that, it should be a lot more palatable..

I'm just afraid it might be tough to convince him and Sexton to go for it, especially if they know he has a mx of 12 more months...

Ohio State has the best shot to beat alabama.
Alabama will roll Clemson and ND this year.
Maybe Ohio State would get rolled also.
Mack Jones has 5 to 7 secs to throw the ball.

I listen to the podcast that uploads around 10 AM central. Just google Big Orange Sunday and the site pulls up.
