He's not dropping the name on radio before they re ready to release it whether he knows it or not.

From the article it sounds like the new OC may need to finish the bowl season.... or shut down his hot dog stand before they can announce. Looks like we got our man!

Reading Doug Matthews comments about this hire makes clear that he is doing exactly what the rest of are - guessing.

There hasnt been a hire made. Come on guys. I dont care how tight of a ship Pruitt runs, thats inside the football program. This is a higher scale. When a hire is made, there will be alot of smoke.

There has been a HUGE amount of disinformation put out on this. Some intentionally for purposes of diversion, some to generate click bait and a lot by folks that don't know sh!t from apple butter. I'm pleasently surprised by Pruitt and Fulmer's stealth in this search.

I honestly think that JP is a good coach would left along would do really good things once he gets his legs under him a bit and comfortable. Now on the other hand coach Fulmer and the rest of the brass will not leave anything that he wants to do alone, they will micromanage the crap out of every little thing that coach wants to do because the brass just like every other job don't want to work and get there hands dirty but wants to sit back and think they know everything. So instead of letting there workers ( Coach JP and Company ) do there job they will hold them back from what they are good at and want allow them to shine like they do at there other respective programs that they coached at before Tennessee. I don't see a big change in Tennessee Football until they get a New President and Administration.

If the choice was Kendal Briles, would Pruitt be waiting until the end of classes next week to announce it? Students today will protest just about anything. Even if there is ample evidence clearing Briles in what happened at Baylor, I could see some groups at UT still being whipped into a frenzy. Waiting until school is out could greatly minimize the volume of the initial emotional outbursts and give time for the fire to be manageable by the AD. Just speculation on my part.

I don't know if what Coach Matthews says will pan out HOWEVER I trust the integrity and common sense of Doug far more than just about anybody else I can think of. He WOULD NOT throw stuff out for attention. He doesn't need to.

So you think this being said is just to calm the fans down? Certainly possible. Not that it was needed, but when we saw Currie’s texts about Schiano with that reporter there was “black and white” proof that stories are spun to fit narratives. You just can’t trust anything anymore.
