The G-Gun has like two plays that don't go for a decent gain and all of a sudden everyone is freaking out. I'd like Gerald to attempt a few passes, provided his running ability causes some coverage mismatches. However, we've not worried about the pass for a long time in that formation and it's been pretty consistently successful. I'd say somewhere in the playbook is something designed for Gerald to run right and the launch the ball deep just before he gets to the line of scrimmage. Until then, he's shown me enough ability to where I've got confidence he'll get positive yardage even if he tells the defense exactly where he's going to run.
As for Gerald's tapes, I watched them when we were recruiting him. Anyway, remember that Crompton looked like a phenomenal passer against high school defenses.
