Dormady's playing time.

That's funny. Misinformed, And Actually I watched the same press conference and didn't feel like Butch was talking about early in the game, I just took what butch said as coachspeak, like it was. Dormady will only play if Dobbs gets hurt or in mop up time in a blowout. Butch has learned his lesson he wants to win and not risk winning on a Freshman Qb who isn't ready to lead this offense yet. Especially when we have a perfectly good leader already.

You are right Butchna is a respected contributor, you however are not. And I wasn't thinking I sent you in to hiding, I just found it ironic that you hadn't responded when you are always so quick to spout out your bias opinion. I would have perferred you be here to eat crow. You have a one sided opinion and only hear what you want to hear.

I wasn't trying to call you out about Dormady playing early, I was showing you the other side of the coin. Coaches say things like that all the time and don't mean what it sounds like they are saying. I thought you had been around long enough to understand that.

I bet if Butch said the same thing this week instead of last week you would have thought that he was talking about the Oklahoma game right? Butch will do what he wants and he wants to win. So plan on not seeing Dormady this weekend unless Dobbs gets hurt or we blow them out. But Butch said he'd play early :post-4-1090547912:

Thanks for setting me straight. Its good to know that we have you here with a clear connection to the mind of Butch.

Enjoy your moment in the sun. I remember the first time I was right about something.....so you deserve your moment. Now people can check your "stats". I really appreciate you exhibiting to everyone everything I already knew about you.

LoL. Whattagoob.

Its guys like you that make it so hard to be humble when I am right. You think you are the know all of Tennessee Football when you are really only a guy who has no idea about half of what he is talking about. You hear what you want to hear and criticize when others disagree with you. I feel really sorry for you, I bet you are alone alot.

I bet if Dormady doesn't play some valuable time soon your head will explode, you'll keep saying to yourself, "But Butch said he would play early", and when it is getting late in the year and he still hasn't played any valuable time in a game, I'll still check on you to make sure you are ok since you have no friends because I don't hold grudges. Don't take yourself so serious you'll only be disappointed in the end. Go Vols!!!

1. I've not criticized anyone's opinion....not even yours. You're welcome to supply evidence otherwise. Debate is not criticism, though many of your "participation trophy" generation seem to see it that way, and get offended when questioned.

2. Somebody has "liked" about 85% of my less than 5000 posts, in nearly a decade of this board. I'm satisfied that I have comported myself adequately here....right or wrong.

3. I have a 3-dimensional life away from this board where my friends, family, and Vol fans reside. I'll be ok.

4. Just a cautionary note....be careful going out on this limb to rub another fans nose in it. Just when you are satisfied you're right the worm tends to turn. Like I said....enjoy this. You earned it.

Wow aren't we touchy Boro', Its not about being right its just about your inability to see things from both sides. Thats fine believe whatever you want to about yourself, just remember we are all wrong sometimes and we are all right sometimes. Its sad a grown man can't just admit that is close-minded when it comes to certain topics.

There is no nose rubbing going on, it was just the fact that you quickly corrected anyone what didn't believe what you "thought" Butch said about Dormady's playing time. You don't have to always be right, but it is nice when you are. Go Vols!!!

Do you want the PO Box # for my fan club, or are you planning on stalking me like a validation seeking teenage girl?

Cite examples where I corrected someone, or at least the one that got you so butthurt, or let it go. It's a sports discussion forum, people have differing opinions. If you look, you'll see I defended mine not attacked others. That's how it's done.

That's it junior....no participation trophy for you.

Stalking you? You are also responding to all of my posts as well so toughen up kiddo. Constantly "defending" your opinion so you say. I would say you have a hard time being wrong, or else you would have already quit responding.

Grow up, I bet you're divorced aren't you? You have a problem letting it go when you were wrong. :)

Edit: This is stupid. I'm not subjecting the board to you any longer. I'm done. You win.

Sincere apologies. I should have never engaged him past the subject of the thread.

You Sir where the one trying to tell us all what Butch "Meant" in his press conference. No one made any bold predictions besides you. I clearly just showed you the other side of the coin and you didn't appreciate being shown in the wrong. But I am the bad guy right, you're the drama queen just couldn't let your unproven opinion be shown in another light. I apologize for showing reason and not bias.

I think I remember everyone demanding Nathan Peterman start against Florida in 2013. And that Riley Ferguson was the best player on the team.

But this is way different cuz Dormady IS FOR REAL.

Yeah he's a real freshman, and there is no indication that he will be a star as of yet, but has all the potential in the world.

Peterman and Ferguson are the prime examples of people swear the next QB will be better, but neither one finished their careers at UT. Just don't liek setting myself up for failure, Dormady may be the next great QB at UT but he might not be either. I just hope our QB after Dobbs, whoever that may be, is successful

Dormady is a nice prospect. But he has no business being on the field for anything less than mop-up duty this year.

Interesting coming from one who seems to think Dobbs is or should be a Heisman candidate. Lots of credibility there.

Dobbs is a servicable quarterback and can be a good one if he gets better hitting his target down field. A Heisman candidate he isn't.

If Dobbs had long enough to find his targets he might be more accurate. He also had a bunch of drops and balls he had to throw away due to pressure.

Dobb's accuracy hasn't lost a game ever!!!

I see what you are saying, but the interception Saturday night kinda hurt a lil.

I agree the line is the primary problem. However, Dobbs needs much improvement to be considered a Heisman candidate.

How can you say that it hasn't ever lost a game. Do you not think some of the off target long passes would not have helped win games if they would have been on target and caught? How about the coaches not calling down field pass plays due to a lack of confidence in his downfield accuracy. Do you think repeatedly throwing screen passes are the most effective way to gain yardage and drive down the field? Where are the quick passes over the middle to exploit the defense blitzing? They don't call them because he isn't accurate enough to throw that pass consistently.

His lack of accuracy definitely effects their play selection and that effects the outcome of the games.

When Dormady is a senior everyone will complain that Butch should have redshirted him. BOOK IT.

Probably, but I rarely like redshirting players especially qb's. I think there is tremendous value in letting your #2 get experience. I know miay will disagree, just my view, I like getting as many players experience as possible to develop quality depth

I didn't say that it couldn't help us win a game, I said it hasn't lost us any games. His inability to throw the deep ball isn't just an accuracy problem. Our receivers have dropped more passes in the last 2 years than probably any other receiving core in the conference. Plus we haven't had a good enough OLine to let Dobbs get in a rythmn to even attempt a good down field pass without some sort of pressure.

They still call the down field passes i am not sure what you have been watching but they ran a few against bowling green that were dropped and one that over threw Preston Williams, but the defender sheilded him from getting down field to the pass. Maybe one of the 5 or so passes that went further than 20 yards down field were inaccurate.

The talk about Dobbs being so inaccurate is clouding the vision of the other issues in our deep passing game. As i recall i have seen Dobbs over throw 2 passes down field all year and only one of them was an actual over throw, the other the defender just played it well. Let's quit being so hard on a QB that has played pretty well since becoming the starter, everyone has a bad game now and then let's cut him some slack. I believe that Zac Azzani and Mahoney should be the people to blame for our lack of a down field threat because Dobbs isn't getting any support in these areas.

One really bad throw didn't beat us, The play calling and lack of execution on the Offensive side of the ball killed us, along with Penalties and missed field goals. We had 2 interceptions and got 0 points off of it. That is what hurt.

I don't think so, there will be atleast 2 5*QBs on campus when Dormady is a Senior. I don't believe that Dormady wins the Starting Job in 2017. But who cares that's 2 years away.
