I am not sure if any true freshman looks good on his very first series. I don't remember if Peyton was very effective on his first series. Don't rush to conclusions. I thought he looked calm.

i dont see him transferring anytime soon. He is a better passer then jarret. he threw one ball right in the hands of the receiver the other day and yall are already saying he is going to transfer? lol if anyone i think jarrett will transfer after his first year.

Dormady will have to be ready incase of injury and the coaches want to make sure he is, but if Dobbs goes down the season expectations will have to be adjusted. 8+ wins becomes more like 6. I do believe that Jones has learned his lesson though, if Dormady isn't effective look for S. Jones to get snaps this year as well.

Not only has never taken a college snap , has never faced an angry well schooled old guy who has decades in coaching who is paid as a defensive coordinator to confuse and disguise coverages at the collegiate level.

Guarantano and Johnson will both be on campus when Dobbs departs. I suspect we'll start Dormady in 2017 given the fact he'll be a junior while Guarantano will be a RS Freshmen and Johnson a true freshmen. Hopefully he lights it up, leaves early for the draft the following year. Guarantano takes over in 2018 as a RS Sophomore, plays 1 year, lights it up, heads for the draft. Hunter takes over in 2019 as a RS Sophomore, plays 1 year, lights it up, heads for the draft. Then the Trevor Lawrence era begins in 2020. :)

I think JG passes and runs better. I think JG will be a top 50-75 player. He is the number 1 dt qb for a reason. I think he will be the starter when Dobbs leaves. I think he has the most talent out of QD, SJ, and him.

I think QD passes better...and he's more prepared mentally at this point. That can all change in two years but that's the present situation IMO.

We are entitled to our own opinions. The recruiting people all rave about JG's accuracy, touch, and arm strength. He has killed all the camps. He had a better camp season passing the ball than QD at the same point imo. The experts have raved about JG's arm more than they did QD's. JG's film is way more impressive and against better competition also.

Oh? JG was killing it at Vols Spring and Fall camps? The experts at THOSE camps are the ones I go with. :)

We used to have these fun "expert" pissing contests on QD vs Torrance Gibson...member?...the Ohio State WR? :wink2:

I wouldnt rule anyone out at starter after Dobbs leaves but someone on the roster will transfer after spring of 2017. Too much talent to keep them all. JG looks great and Dormady has been my pick to transfer too but i wouldnt be surprised either way. Ill stand by my opinion but i only want whatever the coaches think is the best chance for us to win. Just win. Go Vols!!!

Neither one was 100% right on TG. You said he would be at Appy State. I said Dobbs was the man and I believe you were a RF guy. We are both just stating opinions.

Boro' went into hiding after he swore Butch was gonna play Dormady early and often, even make situational drives just for the freshman QB, and Dormady played 1 drive in mop up time. Man I love being right, now I know how Butchna feels all the time. :)

Do you think maybe the unexpected rally by BG curtailed the plans for quality playing time? Probably not.

That's funny. Misinformed, And Actually I watched the same press conference and didn't feel like Butch was talking about early in the game, I just took what butch said as coachspeak, like it was. Dormady will only play if Dobbs gets hurt or in mop up time in a blowout. Butch has learned his lesson he wants to win and not risk winning on a Freshman Qb who isn't ready to lead this offense yet. Especially when we have a perfectly good leader already.

You are right Butchna is a respected contributor, you however are not. And I wasn't thinking I sent you in to hiding, I just found it ironic that you hadn't responded when you are always so quick to spout out your bias opinion. I would have perferred you be here to eat crow. You have a one sided opinion and only hear what you want to hear.

I wasn't trying to call you out about Dormady playing early, I was showing you the other side of the coin. Coaches say things like that all the time and don't mean what it sounds like they are saying. I thought you had been around long enough to understand that.

I bet if Butch said the same thing this week instead of last week you would have thought that he was talking about the Oklahoma game right? Butch will do what he wants and he wants to win. So plan on not seeing Dormady this weekend unless Dobbs gets hurt or we blow them out. But Butch said he'd play early :post-4-1090547912:
