Can I ask you a question before we get back into our neverendless debate?
My reason for QD getting action, along with Sherion, is due to two things: 1- Dobbs has been inconsistent and a turnover machine this season. 2- QD and Sherion, along with JG, are going to be involved in QB competition in the spring.
Do you not agree based on those two things that it would make some bit of sense to try QD and Sherion these last 4 games since we are officially out of the playoff and 99% not making Atlanta? Why would a coach continue to play a limited QB that is not going to be here next year and not get 2 out the 3 QB's competing for the job next year some playing time. This is all so we can have tape of 2 IN GAMES vs comparing all of them in 7 on 7 drills. I just find it very interesting that Butch has to break in a new QB next spring and he refuses to play 2 of the 3 guys competing for the job when we have a starter who is struggling badly. As far as the argument that "No one will succeed behind this line", I don't agree. The majority of the reason our line looks so bad is because we have no threats in the passing game. It looks so bad because we can't pass vertically and defenses know that. Just my two cents.
Do you not think it's a bad idea at all?
