This has gotten plainly obvious. Dobbs has the most turnovers of any QB in the sec. He has thrown behind receivers, bounced one hoppers at their feet, and lofted up unimaginable interceptions at crucial times of a game.
Dobbs probably should have been a receiver, but at best a backup QB. Yeah, he has made some great runs on broken plays, but his passing skills and reads on the option are really bad.
This game with Tenn Tech is most opportune time to make the switch before we finish out the schedule of sec opponents. Freshman Bentley of SC proved why the QB position can provide the difference in the results of a game. He made no turnovers while under pressure from Barnett and Vereen on several occasions. The freshman kept his cool, made the right decisions, and handled their game plan like a veteran.
Possibly Dormady doesn't have the same ability, but he sure deserves the opportunity. The only defense of Dobbs is that he has worked without a good OLine. Well, maybe Dormady or Sheiron Jones could handle that situation better. Butch will never know if he doesn't give one of them a chance.
