No, it's not time for Dormady. He would've gotten his neck broken last night.
Hate to say it, but I strongly agree with one thing D4H has said often....the play calling was horrific and gave Dobbs no chance to be dynamic or successful. No slants, no seam routes, no back shoulder throws, absolutely nothing up the field with the exception of the TD throw to Malone, which was the one time we actually threw deep. I just don't get it. Too damn predictable and unimaginative. Play calling and subsequently the results on first down was horrific. If Dobbs is your QB then let him play.
On second thought, if Butch is gonna continue with this "I don't trust my senior, dark horse Heisman candidate and 2nd team all-SEC QB", then maybe they should just bench him and go with somebody else. What we saw last night was utter coaching malpractice.
IMO, Dobbs' inability to go through his reads creates indecisiveness and he holds the ball too long. As many have said, utilizing some inside slants would cure a lot of this but it simply isn't in Butch's play book. Did anyone notice how open the middle of the field was all night, yet we never took advantage. Dobbs is not a good qb but he could definitely be better with improved play calling. At this point, we are only paying Butch for his recruiting/coach-speak skills bc he clearly cannot actually coach football.
for a dual quarterback plan?.
For now, we are a one dimensional offense. This will not work in the SEC. Hurd run, Hurd run, Hurd run, geese give me a break.
Dobbs cannot throw accurately passed fifteen yards.
Our play calling is so predictable it is pathetic. No surprises, no trick plays, nothing!.

Dobbs can throw the ball just fine they just don't let them smh. For reference look at the Malone throw it was a beauty of a throw. Tight spiral that was right on the money.
You people really think a different QB makes this hot garbage offense effective? Lol
naw...Josh will be fine...Coach Debord... not so sure...believe his game plan was to not get anyone hurt and win the game...mission accomplished...doubt VT is shaking in their boots about playing us after seeing this film. Still, first game of a long season...should be a hell of a ride...
GO VOLS!
