General Neyland didn't have a coaching resume before TN..

just sayin. Sometimes the man matters more than getting an opportunity to fail as the HC of the Raiders.

I am a Vol fan living in Shreveport La (LA TH country)....LSU will be crying about not getting CDD in a year or two when the mad hatter is fired and goes off to Mich.....We got a good one this time....

Yeah, no way LSU could just hire someone from a bigger school than La Tech...

Very funny that Georgia AD got a DUI but take a look at this from AJC-

Evans was flippant when first pulled over, according to the trooper. "The subject said ‘I feel pretty good,' " states the incident report. The trooper noted that Evans had a pair of red panties in between his legs.

At least the panties were red and not Orange OR he might have been fired! How about those Dawgs....hahahha

Evidently you don't know about CDD's stint at LSU, if you did you would have realized how stupid that comment was.

I completely forgot about Dooley's 7 year stint as Saban's errand boy. That changes things. Oh wait, it doesn't.

Yeah let's forget the fact that the best college coach right now thought enough of Dooley not only to hire him and promote him within LSU, but to take him to the NFL with him as well. CDD's resume is solid. I concede that he didn't do much at LA Tech, but he has had much success coaching football.

Bill Battle won over 70% of his games, not exactly a failure either.

He took a team that won 2 of the last 3 SEC titles and turned it into a program so bad it took Majors almost a decade to rebuild to a championship winner. If that isn't failure, your standards are atrociously low.

He also won four bowl games and had 3 10+ win seasons. He went out like Fulmer, but as a whole, not a failure.
