I know we really shouldn't look past MTSU. But this match is already gaining momentum and I think you'll notice Franklin building it up even more with either more Twitter pics or maybe some sound bytes for the media. I would love it if Dooley stepped up and gave us a sound byte that the team or the fans could get behind. If there is one thing I liked about our previous coach (who will go unnamed to avoid a sincere compliment) is that he challenged the players to back him up. That can be a great for motivation and I think you saw that a lot in the '09 team. Just a random thought ... I still think we'll win.

What do you guys predict for Vandy week?

I predict alot of people will think we should fire dooley and alot of people will argue give him time .. some people will compare the job he does to kiffen/fulmer others will say dont bring up those 2 names .. people will use stats, others will say "logic has no place here" .. the over/under on hearing "sunshine pumpers" is 8 ..

I think we should fire Dooley, but I also think we should give him time... The job he is doing isn't as good as two that shall go unmentioned... I would use stats, but where is the logic in that?

sunshine pumpes, sunishine pumpers, sunshine pumpers, sunshine pumpers, sunshine pumpers, sunshine pumpers, sunshine pumpers, sunshine pumpers

Dooley has no reason to hype a matchup with Vandy.

Franklin will hype the matchup. He already has to some degree. Should Dooley respond to his antics through the media? That's my question...

no, Dooley's silence will give Vandy all the respect they've earned in their football history

For us to beat Vandy this year, we need Worley to develop as quickly as Bray did last year. After watching Worley this weekend, he's definitely got the skills to step in and move this offense. His arm strength is better than his old game film. The difference this year with Vandy is that they seem to have found a solid QB in Jordan Rodgers after his impressive starting debut verses Arky this weekend.

Our program has definitely fallen to the point where losing to Vandy isn't a stretch this year. Let's just hope that we don't lose anyone else to season ending injuries. Enough is enough already.

Franklin and his staff are doing a better job than Dooley and this staff is. They were close to beating UGA and Arkansas. Franklin is doing well with much less talent.

Franklin hypes it up.
Dooley drags Vandy.
The reporter asks after the game, "what did you think about Coach Franklin hyping this game up?"
Dooley - "Who?"

That's how it should go.

So just to play a little devil's advocate:

Why do ppl even like James Franklin? And if you like James Franklin why wouldn't you want Dooley to respond?

so you're saying they lead the SEC in moral victories?

I laughed at a Vandy fan today that told me that Vandy was out recruiting Tennessee.

Scout ratings - Tennessee 15, Vandy 33
Rivals ratings - Tennessee 13, Vandy 25
ESPN ratings - Tennessee 16, Vandy 25

They lost though. There's no special column for that. We had some big moral victories last year. He!!, Dooley still won more games than Franklin will win this year...

They aren't far off. Franklin is recruiting his ass off. When has vandy ever been a consensus top 25 recruiting team?

I am saying one coach is coaching up his team the other is not. I bet UT does not come close to beating Arkansas and would not be surprised if Vandy beat us.

It's really easy to impress ppl at Vandy. Franklin will be sitting at home over the holidays while everyone on here talks about him like he's COTY. Meanwhile will talk about our coaches getting canned. Whether or not we'll still be practicing is TBD. If you say no then as a fan you should forfeit the rest of the season

Vandy signed one or two names and they jumped up into the top 15 and have been in free fall ever since. They'll finish in the 30s or 40s.

Halftime scores against like opponents:

Vandy
UGA - L 20-7
Bammer - L 14-0
SC - L 14-3

UT
UGA - 6-6
Bammer - 6-6
SC - L 7-3

We do better in the first half.

1 MVP (Moral Victory Point)
