Dooley shouldn't be fired for losing the KY game.

He should be fired for:

1) a 6-7 record overall in 2010
2) a 5-7 record overall in 2011
3) a 1-7 record vs. SEC in 2011
4) never winning a game when trailing in the first half.
5) Constantly blaming the players rather than accepting some fault on himself and staff.
6) First back-to-back losing seasons in 100 years (1910-1911).

Dooley (per Rucker): "You don't always get what you want, you get what you deserve."

Amen! We have shown no improvement, he constantly allows Chaney to make stupid calls, he has no control over players and we were almost always outscored in the 2nd half by A LOT!!

I am sick of excuses...we are too young,injuries,etc.....Dooley said in his post game presser " I have been saying all year we are not a very good team"...No kidding, you are being paid to make this team better. You are a coach. This team is getting WORSE. Dooley should be held accountable at some point

don't forget that this is only the second time since joining the SEC that UT has zero wins in road games

It's ok, Mama Dooley will call up a radio show and set it straight that CDD is a future hall of famer and the best coach of all time.

It could be argued that Tennessee has had more discipline off the field this year then they have had in a decade.

What coach would want to come here knowing that he only has two years to get it right?

It's not like we're asking for a lot at the moment...6-6 would have been fine.

You can pay me half of CDD's salary and I'll give you 5-7, could have done that while working my normal job now.

Dooley has done nothing in the two years he has been here... No improvement at all in any phase of the game...No one expects to be playing in the SEC championship game right now...I would settle for being competitive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Screw Dooley. It's never on him and we are never supposed to get better. We are supposed to be a bad team all year and just give the coaches a pass because of who they are.

What will be the excuses next year??? How about "The coaches are not very good,we are holding this team back" This would be a more acceptable explanation than throwing the players under the bus every time

One other thing that may cause dooley to get fired is the attendance this year! Somebody correct me but didn't overall attendance drop by a huge margin this year?

Same here. I might not even let him on the bus.

I've said all year that he should get a 3rd year, no matter how bad we were, for stability. I say f that now. I've come to the conclusion that he will never, ever, win here. So blow it up and start over.

Look, the guy's a goner. IDK when they'll actually do it, but the fanbase will demand it, and sooner or later, we'll have to buy out his contract. The man will be more hated than Kiffin. We'll lose fans, donations, players and recruits. We've already lost respect, pride and records that stood for half a century. The only thing we can control is when we stop bleeding out. Derek Dooley will end up being the costliest mistake in the history of this program. Unlike Kiffin, NOBODY will take this guy off our hands.

Part of the problem is the feeling he won't get fired. We know he inherited a mess, but he has shown nothing that he has the skills to improve the situation. Saban lost senior day to a sun belt or wac team but the team showed improvedment his first year while he was putting the pieces together for his great run he currently is on. DD doesn't have that. Hell, even Auburns coach showed signs of improvement before he got Cam. EVe this year he has proven to be a tactician at some points. He has won some games he shouldn't have. Plus he was smart enough to hire an excellent oc.
