Since I have less than 100 posts, I couldn't start a new thread, but I heard Jimmy Himes on 104.5 this morning saying that he heard from a "very reliable" source that Dooley will not be fired if he wins out. Jujst thought I'd share FWIW.
I do not believe this. If Gruden or some other "high profile" coach shows interest in the job, Dooley will be gone regardless of how the rest of the season plays out. I guarantee that Hart has "put the feelers out". The real question is if any of those coaches have shown interest. Dooley will not be fired just for the sake of firing a coach. If he is fired at the end of the seaon, that should tell you that UT has found it's new coach, and it will be a solid hire.
