Don't know much about Dooley or LA Tech. But I was wondering what kind of offense does Dooley runs.Is it the spread or pro style offense .

He averaged 20ppg at La Tech in his 8-5 winning season..... we're going to be an offensive juggernaut in the SEC!! FL and Bama watch out.

Living in north Louisiana and watching Tech play several times in the past few years, they were very average on offense to say the least. I think that Dooley is smart enough to go and get a quality OC and let him do his job. If the Brewer rumors are true, that is a step in the right direction.

I'm sure no matter his philosophy he will stick to the TN. tradition of pounding the football and sprinkle in his wrinkles.

He said as much in the press conference. He believes in running the football first and then doing other things to keep the D off balance. Probably very similiar to what Saban runs at Bama.

He wasn't playing with UT's players either Dorkboy!! You should think about some spelling practice!!!

And he wasnt playing against SEC defenses either. So the sorry conference cancels out the lack of talent.

Only time will tell guys, and i think we will be able to tell a lot the next couple weeks.

Herschel left, Herschel right, Herschel up the middle, fake to Herschel and throw it over the middle to Lindsay.

Yep. His philosophies are excellent. Key words = strong running game, and multiple. Essentially pro style with alot of formation variety and flexibility -- but even including "spread offense" stuff -- to adjust depending on what the opposing defense is attempting to do. The QB will operate under center and from the shot gun, in the pocket and some roll-out. He also pointed out that the offense will be designed to put the best playmakers in position to make plays. His defensive philosphies are excellent as well. This guy is smart and learned a lot of good stuff from Saban and others, in college and the NFL. He's going to be a very very good head coach. He just hasn't had the opportunity to fully prove it yet.
