Dooley > Kiffin

Bama fans are glad kiffin is at usc, since UT should have beat alabama last year, with much less talent.

Ahh, the ol' coulda-shoulda-woulda card. The one that losers play all the time.

Had the previous coach had any guts or game management skills, perhaps we would have run another play or two and had a more manageable kick? It was not a horseshoe match, so close gets nothing more than an "L" in the loss column.

I bet you are one of the people that say "if you don't support our coach, you are not a true fan."

just sayin

No, I do not believe that. The program is more about who's holding the clipboard or making the call.

As long as the coach is doing what he can to put the team in a position to win, there's no reason to dislike him though.

But i don't think you have to be a fan of the coach to be a fan of the University.

Because my vehement opposition to Dooley means that I have a man-crush on Lane Kiffin.

No, I would say you have a man crush on Kiff because of your vehement defense of him. Even though he is no longer affiliated with this University.

I defend him because most people on here pull a "ZOMG, HE WAZNT GOODZ TO BEGIN WITH AMIRITE?"

Well, I have never said "ZOMG, HE WAZNT GOODZ TO BEGIN WITH AMIRITE?" or never will I.

I thought he had potential to be a good coach and still does. I just don't approve of the way he ran things from the beginning.

I think Kiffin will succeed at USC. Here's the thing though, his success will be at USC. He didn't accomplish anything great here, and I don't care what he says, we're not in a better state than when he got here.

Sadly, I think he will too. Although I wish the worst for his team. The simply fact is that the Pac-10 has no answer, as of now, for the mighty USC.

I will be shocked of Kiffin isn't extremely successful at USC. He really fits there. I had a huge crush on him while he was here, and what really stings is that Kiffin avoided all Vol traditions and will completely embrace all things USC. I hope Dooley can just make get over this quickly...

USC played in 7 straight BCS bowls and won 2 national titles last decade. Who doesn't want to do that?

And USC bribed players, played in a weaker PAC, and called the enormously populated state of CA their back yard! Grass is greener when you water it with septic waste.

Oh, so you just have to be a fan of the traditions(which are not even close to the age of the university).

Nope, but the two of them together were a hell of a deal. Didn't USC just hire them? That's right, they did. Did they call Dooley?

Lane was a hell of a recruiter son, this kid has some big pants to fill and you know it.

By the way, ask Crompton how he feels about what Lane did for him. Oh, but you wouldn't have noticed, from the death threats and all.

Fulmer was a hell of a recruiter. Fulmer would have had a better class than CLK produced if he had been kept on. The washout from the CLK class was immense before he left and is now epic. Look at the current depth on this team. That's Hammy's fault for the merry-go-round coaching fiasco. Fulmer, by the way, would have won nine games last year, not seven.

Lane's one success at UT was Crompton. I tend to believe Crompton would have come good sooner under the Fulmer regime, but there are arguments either way on that one.

And that's the fun of a message board. Peace.

Exactly. He will build up his name there at USC. He was only here 1 year and had a mediocre year, not enough to judge what coulda, woulda or shoulda. Nonetheless, I hope he falls flat on his face at USC.
