Just my opinion. I think Dooley's success at making a doormat competitive is far greater than Kiffin's horrible NFL run with the Raiders. Not too mention that Dooley was the AD too.




It's clear Hamilton wanted a clean guy this time.

with respect: 4-8 in his 3rd year is not competitive

I'm so damn glad he was the AD. Maybe he can schedule some of the women's rowing competitions while at practice. Him being the AD doesn't mean anything to what he's about to get in to.

In hindsight, I would take Derek Dooley over Lane Kiffin any day of the week.

Nope, but the two of them together were a hell of a deal. Didn't USC just hire them? That's right, they did. Did they call Dooley?

Lane was a hell of a recruiter son, this kid has some big pants to fill and you know it.

By the way, ask Crompton how he feels about what Lane did for him. Oh, but you wouldn't have noticed, from the death threats and all.

USC struck out on it's first 3 or 4 candidates too...they were not their 1st choice, by far...

Dooley is a change from Fulmer (Cutcliffe?) and NOT Kiffin - and we hold on to some decent staff members. I'm ready to give it a try.

I hope so too. I heard early rumors (which we all know what they are worth) were that he wanted to bring most of his staff from LA Tech. Lance Thompson had better be on this staff, best recruiter we have.

Haha, I guarantee you that no one over there even knows who the hell Dooley is.

The reason I'm saying this is that comparing this guy to Lane and his staff is laughable. Just be honest about it. I'm not being a homer, I'm just stating the obvious. Every one of us will miss Monte and his defense he put together against UF and Bama. We will miss the tireless recruiting.

Don't say ignorant comments such as this guy is better than what is now at USC, that's just a laughable statement.

I would hope he would retain Kippy, Lance, Chaney, and Cregg. I hope Cregg will stay...Kiffin absolutely bent the whole staff over before he got on the plane...
