Donnieball Taking Shape!

Because 18 should be a minimum for anyone, but people are talking about this perfect plan, Bruce Pearl type run, and how the SEC has never seen anything like Donnie ball. If all that's true he should win more than the minimum

And if he doesn't?

Not sure about the Pearl type run , but it is true they've never seen anything like donnie ball as it pertains to flipping a roster with mid major grads and Jucos.
Will it work in the SEC?
Remains to be seen.

You gave a number stick to it. That is your opinion. Not complicated. Shouldn't matter what other people speculate. Proof is in the results. Why argue against a number based on an opinion without a practice or game played.

It's going to be different that what we have seen in the past that is for sure. Can't set standards based on internet opinionated thoughts. Really have nothing to argue for or against because they have not functioned together as a team.

We have some decent kids, some experience, some green, all of which fit CDTs system. His job is to make it work and he must have a plan. We will see.

Hard to grade the paper when only the draft is written and not even turned in. Your standard is 18. That's fine, I can live with that. Not that complicated at all. I want to see the final product before passing judgement.

You were such a stalwart for his predecessor...through some real ugly coaching...once bitten?

I don't care how ugly it is, it's about wins and losses and making the tourney? You feel better about winning 20 games in ugly fashion and making the NCAAT than winning 17 games and making the NIT? I don't.

Absolutely, if nothing else it should be interesting.

Which is?

You are arguing the direct opposite points that u did during our predecessor's tenure.... U need to get over it and move on....I hope CDT is the answer, he has to prove himself on the court and in recruiting. He has passed his first test so far and cant wait for the first game of next yr.

And I've said nothing to the contrary...

We made it once in three yrs and would be predicted by most not to make it this season even if Zo was here....1 in 4 yrs good enough for u.

You are a champion of a coach who took us to the NIT twice...seems that it wouldn't be so repugnant to you. :glare:

I thought we would win 20 games this year and make it, that has been my stance since last season, surely you knew that.

If you cant see it, then I dont know what to tell u.....It's like when we talked about recruiting....I said many times Zo's wasnt good enough to be a consistent winner and u brought up Wichita State, Gonzaga, Virginia or anyone else. Now u argue the direct opposite point. People can grow and change opinions but yours comes off as childish and vindictive.

I have said if Tyndall's way works I'm all for it, nobody will know until the games are played. I haven't said it won't work, and I haven't said he's gonna fail here, people just don't seem to want to hear anything besides sunshine pumping.

It's the same way with Butch Jones, you will get ran off this board if you question anything the man does, but watch what happens if they go 4-8 or 5-7 next year.

That would have been determined on three things Hubbs stepping up.....Richardson being the player from the tourney and if Zo could have gotten some experienced bigs during the late signing period. It definitely could have happened but it wasnt the logical expectation and I feel the talent level was higher his first yr on campus. I think Zo knew this and played into him leaving for Cal.

I dont need you to be a sunshine pumper.....in fact I like negative critics as well as positive. Everyone has a different opinion but yours is obviously biased. Im not sold on CDT either but I feel more confident now then the day he was hired.

Im pretty much sold on CBJ, he is doing a heck of a job recruiting and playing a top ten schedule with holes all over the place bc of the idiot before him. CBJ has my support until yr three when he should be closer to a level playing field. If Zo recruited close to the level Butch does, I would be full ZO!!!

You've used this argument a lot "sunshine pumping" and yes it is truthful, people want to believe.

I do believe you have gone out of your way to counter the Sunshine Pumping Mentality. Which is ok, but extreme at times which puts everybody on the defense.

I have a paypal account if you want to float me a dollar.

This. Everyone is giving Butch so much props because of how well he has recruited and turned the roster around in so short of time. I still think the football team only goes 6-6 next year but Football takes a lot longer to turn around. So far he is doing and saying all the right things and it's awesome to have a coach that bleeds orange so much. The previous two, Kiffin and Dooley you could tell they could careless about UT and the tradition. I fell super confident in both of our coaches and I think things are finally looking up again!
