Does Tillman Return next year?

If Tillman is projected to go high at the draft I wouldn’t blame him one bit. That being said, I hope he comes back next year. He’s been almost automatic any ball that he’s had a chance at….. I’d take a team full of Matthew Butlers. He’s got the heart of a warrior and you can tell how much he hates to lose. I hope he gets a shot of the next level somewhere. Will miss him and Velus a lot next year.
I’d like to see Matt back as a grad assistant if he can’t or doesn’t want to turn pro.

Rumors of this all season, seems he has been frustrated by lack of significant involvement in the Offense. Coming out of spring many thought he would be the top guy in this unit. That has not been the case
He’s involved plenty. Just needs to, you know, actually catch the football. Hyatt has had drops when targeted, I don’t think it’s that they don’t want to get him the ball.

He was supposed to be the man in that unit this year. I hope it’s just a sophomore slump and he comes back motivated next year

If they don't want to be here, Piss On Them. Bring in players that want to be here and give their best.
Meh, dumb take imo. If you can go high in draft and make money you do so, especially at WR. On Hyatt I absolutely agree, haven’t heard the rumors though so I’m just going to hope the kid gets it figured out and comes back.

Just needs to catch the ball and he will be heavily involved in the offense. He’s not going to fix his hands by transferring.
I don’t disagree but you know how kids are today. There exists a possibility he could transfer and I’ve heard rumblings of it

Cedric most likely will be back. He could get drafted this year but I would be a low round. A year as the clear number 1 WR and he could get to the top three rounds.

Hyatt will be a starter next year, so not sure why he would transfer. And haven't heard any rumors of anything such. Hed be pretty stupid to even think about it honestly, he's watching first hand what the guys in front of him are doing.

Big day from Tillman yesterday. But dang, does having one good game in your entire career immediately qualify you for early entry into the NFL Draft. I mean look at Marquez North or DaRick Rogers from UT alone. These guys were big time athletes that put up long term #s with 1st team All-SEC pedigree and didn't really make it. I'm thinking folks may want to slow their roll a little on this.

His and most any WR's draft stock can more accurately be measured by their raw numbers. Great 40 time and big vertical. Someone will take a shot on you even if you didn't have super numbers in college. Bad measurables by NFL standards, your stock will fall significantly regardless of college numbers.

Hard to say. If he gets a good draft grade, then U would expect him to leave. Couldn’t blame him. I have a sneaky feeling he comes back. Tillman needs to start getting some talk as one of the SEC top WRs. If he and Hooker come back next year, I don’t think it’s inconceivable to think Tillman could be the best WR in the SEC.

As far as Hyatt? I have been very disappointed with his play this year. I really thought he would be the guy to take the top off the defense. But he has been wildly inconsistent. Hopefully he can clean his play up and be the deep threat next year. If he were to transfer? Well it wouldn’t shock me either. The transfer portal has created a monster where if guys don’t feel they are getting used the right way then they just leave.

I haven’t heard that but I’m not as immersed in football as I used to be. I’ll just say we’ll be fine regardless. Hyatt has all the physical skills to be a starter, he just has to catch the ball. He’s not going to see a situation where wrs get more targets than here most likely. Only way I see him transferring is if he’s underachieving or the fit just isn’t right. I think he’ll be fine and we’ll be fine regardless.

He would be the clear #1 next year. I think it benefits him to return. Would easily go over 1k.

Tillman is big and physically gifted. Speed may not be blazing, but fights through coverage. I hope he stays but I think he has a chance at going in the draft.

In reading Basilio, there are several WR that we are already looking at in the portal.

If some of ours leave, they can be replaced. Look at Velus and Payton, they helped us tremendously.

Thoughts on if he will return or throw his lot into the Draft? If he goes and Hyatt transfers… yikes. Hope both come back and are our WR1 and WR2

He reminds me quite a bit of a Robert Meecham.. big WR, fast, with great ball skills, sure hands, athletic, with another gear to burn…

Maybe Meecham a tad faster but to me similiar ball 🏈 players…

He got hurt game 1, when he was plenty involved with 4 catches. Took a few games to get healthy, and got surpassed on the chart. But Payton, Jones are leaving. Tillman may be as well. He's been the most targeted receiver outside of those 3, so pretty clear he's gonna either be top dog, or top 2 next year. Given our offense, it would be rather foolish of him to leave.

More than 1 big game my man. Leads our team in receptions and yardage. Will likely end the year with over 1000 referring l receiving yards and possibly 10+ TDs. In the SEC, that's gonna next get you noticed pretty easy.
