Kiffin’s Comments About Georgia Can’t Be Documented | MrSEC.com
Something to chew on for the weekend.
Something to chew on for the weekend.
wow, what a ridiculous statement.
Whats so ridiculous about it? He created that perception of himself with all of the talking that he has done.
I read the article and didn't think twice about it not being true. I'm glad its not, but it didn't surprise me a bit at the time and it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. It wouldn't be uncharacteristic of Kiffin to make those kind of comments.
the ridiculous portion would be that the entire ordeal was fabricated.Whats so ridiculous about it? He created that perception of himself with all of the talking that he has done.

“We spoke to Lane Kiffin on the phone a couple of weeks ago and he made the point to say that he was going to be really aggressive in Georgia in recruiting because he thinks that maybe Georgia went to sleep on some of these kids. Do you feel like that’s the case and are you kind of ready for that battle with Lane?”
Flatford called Richt right after that teleconference to apologize.
“Kiffin has never talked to me, never talked to me,” Flatford told Weiszer yesterday.
“I hope to have him on our show at some point. At that time, I will ask Lane about recruiting in Georgia.”

Well no sh_t. The guy was saying that the assertion "that if Kiffin had not done so much talking and so much antagonizing, none of this would have been believable", was ridiculous. Well no its not, not really. It wouldn't have surprised me one bit if he had made the comments.
Honestly would it have surprised you?
But yes it is ridiculous that it was fabricated.
it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Orgeron clown stomped a mudhole in Richt either, but he didn't, thus it is absolutely garbage if someone tries to pass it off as having happened.Well no sh_t. yes, it would surprise me if he had made a comment like that flippantly to a UGA beat writer. If he happened to be looking for a way to tighten up UGA's in state recruiting, it might have made some sense, but that seems a bit counterproductive to CLK's cause, no?I said I agreed with you about it being fabricated. But you didn't answer my question. Would it have surprised you if he had done it?

The comment about Meyer was rah rah bull crap, but the comment about recruiting would have been tantamount to giving away trade secrets.Honestly, I don't know. I would think it would be, but I thought the comment he made about Meyer would have been counter productive also. I think he's unpredictable, but It wouldn't surprise me if he had.
