turds every year and the tougher OOC game negatively affect the perception of the Tennesse job?
Tradition is important and we've had some great games over the years, but I could see that it may have some impact. It's kind of a double edge sword. What do y'all think

Dont know if it does but it shouldnt.
And who says we play a tougher OOC game? We got 5-5 GaTech this year. Florida played Michigan, South Carolina gets Clemson, Georgia played Notre Dame and Kentucky gets Louisville. Some years we do, some we dont.
The right coach wont let that deter him in any way from taking this job imho.
YES YES YES finally someone said what Ive been preaching for three years. Its stupid to play them every year because we would play them anyway in the SEC Championship. It puts us at a disadvantage in the East. There will be some in here that will say its a cowards way out we need to play as well as them to me thats just playing dumb less play smart. Why put yourself in a disadvantage look in Georgia this year Auburn could beat Bama and they would have to play Auburn twice its just stupid. We need to rotate all the games in the other division not just for us for everyone in the division .
I think it depends what kind of gonads a coach has.
I think to a coach like Kiffin who thinks highly of himself and wants every opportunity to prove himself, it would be a great sell.
"Hey, every year, you get the opportunity to play the greatest coach of all time, and try to disrupt the greatest dynasty of college football history."
I mean....if that doesn't intrigue you....then are you even a competitor?
Because if I want to be the best.....then I want to play the best.
I don't want to go 12-0 at a school that doesn't play anyone.
I want to go 12-0 at a school in the best conference, and I want to play #1 Bama every year, and I want to play Georgia every year, and I want to play Florida every year, and I want the toughest OOC schedule you can give me.
I mean, heck, look at Saban. Their first game this year was FSU. Who yeah, sucks this year. But....that was a big gonad game. And Alabama has played Oklahoma and USC and whoever else they can get. They don't shy away from big games. Because when you want to be the best, you want every chance to prove it.
So, no, I think as long as Bama is a power, I would HOPE it would be a selling point. That every year you have a crack at one of the best teams in the country, and you get to try to out-coach the greatest who has ever done it.
Absolutely correct!! If you play 12 cupcakes and end up 12-0, you will (1) will get no respect in the polls or by the playoff committee, (2) your team gets no experience playing high caliber opponents, and (3) most likely lose badly in any post season bowl game. That's a poor idea.
And if Georgia loses to Auburn twice, then Georgia surely does not need to be in any championship.
You want to be the best, you play the best. You leave no doubt. If that means you play Bama once in season, twice in the SECCG, and another time in the playoff, then so freaking be it.
I'd love to whoop their a$$ 3 times in a year if that's what it took.
Anyone. Anywhere. Anytime.
