Like it or not urban as a person is respected... So follow the pt..
Will this go away or will it be neg towards kiff and ut

I would argue that point. A former player's mother told me otherwise.

And no, IMO it won't be a negative.

Whatever. Kiffin is making noise way louder than our fans did at most of our games this year. Bring it on Coach Kiffin.

NO, it's actually good for us.........but we don't TOO much of it.......after a long period of irrelevancy, we have to wake the sleeping dragon, so to speak.........We have to go after the big dogs, and bring them to justice.........

We were dissrespected for a long time, we were the laughing stock of the SEC for a long time........no longer.......time for this resurrection to occur.....we will rise up from the ashes of Phil FOOLMer, like the mighty Pheonix, and destroy our enemies, with schemes never seen before!! HOHO!!!

Now, our time has come........So either get with the program, or b CUM a gator!!!! :eek:lol:

If I've learned anything from a lifetime of watching college football, it's that winning and class have nothing to do with each other. If anything, they have an inverse relationship.

If you want to be the man you got to beat the man. It sends a message that Tennessee football is back. All great coaches have a swagger. I don't want him calling out Kentucky or Vandy, but we are a top football program. We shouldn't be backing down from anyone. Your players are a reflection of your coach. I like that it seems that Coach Kiffin isn't soft.

It was said. Big deal. It's over with. It's not the first time and won't be the last I'm sure. Coaches do that. (Hello..Spurrier) Kiffin is the new kid on the block and got a slap on the wrist from Slive because it was about an SEC team breaking recruiting rules and that team was Florida. Slive I'm sure doesn't want the NCAA poking around because of reading a rule wrong or whatever. He stroked Floridas ego and "punished" the new kid at the same time. Let Kiffin do his thing. I like it and it's not that big a deal. I rather him stir it up than roll over and say nothing. Bottom line is he got everyone's attention all across the USA. I say good job.

When moms and dads make their decisions for their kids next year will today come back to bite UT? I thought clk went a bit over the top but nothing horrid, however, he is very brash and this is the south? I know some here will trash me for raising this issue, but ok... I just wonder if any publicity like this is good. I know pti said great but he did call urban a cheat basically and clk has not coached a game yet, the negative press worries me abit. Anyone else? I hope it goes in oiur favor and am glad we have a coach with testicular fortitude if you will.... But was this too much

I am in total agreement. I bet the reason we didn't get more recruits is because of his cocky, smug attitude. I do feel this will affect us in recruiting. This guy is giving UT a black eye. I now read where he bashed the high school that N. Richardson went to, accusing the school of potentially atempting to tamper with the kids LOI. Are you freaking kidding me?! This guy has no business representing this university. Hamilton needs to ban him from speaking in public. This guy is a total schmuck!!

Kiffin's action is like a BB coach arguing early in the game to help his team later on. Infraction no, but disrespectful yes! CUM now knows that Kiffin won't back down nor put up with his BS! I like it and so did PTI today!

No, lets be Winners for a change.
Check our record since the day Robert R. Neyland took the UT job. It looks pretty good, and we've always done it with class no matter who was the HC.

We've won a lot of football games, and maintained class and integrity. We can do it again with class and integrity.

Two rules in any sport
1...All FANatics can either be jerks or passive supporters
2...Coaches can not change rule number one.

So do you think what CLK did today was classless or without integrity?

I don't think it had anything to do with integrity. Was it the classy thing to do? No, it wasn't, and CLK knows that now.

Everybody makes mistakes. CLK is human like the rest of us. I'm sure if Kiff had to do over, he wouldn't. I just wouldn't want this type of thing to become a regular occurrence.

How is this any different than the Spurier episode earlier in the year? and why was the ol' ball coach not required to appologize for making negative and untrue allegations about the Kif?

Personally I prefer Fulmer's style and the old-school in general.
But that wasn't getting us very far in the end. The brash guys got hte talent and they got the more motivated team.
I don;t like Kiffin's style, but if he wins it won't matter at all to me.
