I don't remember if that was mentioned. He worked at a gas station for a bit

Man, I must be conflating memories. GPT says the only magicians turned musicians are Alan Parsons and Neal Pert, and I doubt my Dad was talking to me about them? IDK. I'm 43 and this is like a 35 YO memory, LOL.

BTW, some good music documentaries I've seen in recent years:

Wham! (Netflx)
ZZ Top (Netflix?)
Beegees (Prime?)
Miss Simone (Netflx)
Devo (Netflx)
Yacht Rock Dock (HBO)

There was one about Foo Fighters recording an album in an analog studio.
There was one about the Wrecking Crew that was good.

I've seen the Beegees and yacht rock. Both great. There's one that came out a couple of years ago on Duran Duran. Great Also.

I like most Documentaries, but there was one on David Bowie a few years ago that was terrible. They way it was shot and how it was told was strange. I think it was on Showtime.

Just finished Becoming Zeppelin on Netflix. Thought it was really cool. I love how they incorporated John Bonham into it and also showed full performances.
