Man, I must be conflating memories. GPT says the only magicians turned musicians are Alan Parsons and Neal Pert, and I doubt my Dad was talking to me about them? IDK. I'm 43 and this is like a 35 YO memory, LOL.

I've seen the Beegees and yacht rock. Both great. There's one that came out a couple of years ago on Duran Duran. Great Also.

I like most Documentaries, but there was one on David Bowie a few years ago that was terrible. They way it was shot and how it was told was strange. I think it was on Showtime.

Just finished Becoming Zeppelin on Netflix. Thought it was really cool. I love how they incorporated John Bonham into it and also showed full performances.

This one was really well paced. Never found myself feeling like it hit a lull like I generally do in documentaries.

The ending was nuts. First how could you do that to your own daughter, but what struck me as even more odd was watching her daughter find out and sit there like she had no issues with it.

And then her trying to justify it, "we all make mistakes and everyone breaks the law at some point, just not everyone gets caught. I just happened to get caught. Like what the hell? Crazy lady.

Recommend "The Alabama Solution"

A look at the conditions and mistreatment inside bama prisons.

TBH, I always believed if you do the crime then you get what you deserve, but this documentary might make you see things in another light. The condition are way worse than I ever imagined

The corruption in the Alabama prison system is on another level all the way up to the AG and governor.

Even if we have little sympathy, we still want the best results for society, and harsh prison conditions are not good for society....then you factor in that not everybody in prison deserves to be there...

Anyone watch the first episode? I didn't get to yet but I saw the first 10 minutes preview on YouTube. It was really cool that Burns brought back Paul Giamatti & Laura Linney as the voices of John & Abigail Adams. If you've never seen them in the HBO mini-series John Adams from 2008 I highly recommend.

I think I also heard Jeff Daniel's as Washington. Daniel's portrayed Washington in 2000 TV film The Crossing about the lead up to the Christmas crossing of the Delaware and attack on Trenton.

Watched the first episode last night and enjoyed it. My son who is a sophomore watched it for about 30 minutes and we had great conversation about the things happening at that time in our country that he's also been learning about in school.
