Dobbs worked with the 1s today!

Saying my argument is stupid without backing up with evidence of your own is why it's name calling. If all you can say is, "It's stupid," then you've run out of things to say.

I've given plenty of evidence and "back up" but you either ignore it or just continue to go around in circles.

And saying your argument is stupid isn't name-calling, and you think it is, then I suggest you may be too sensitive for messageboards.

But what happened now? You are so fast to talk up his performance last year but now all of the sudden he isn't good enough to play now so the red shirt is the cover for that? So amazing that tons of reporters and team media folks all say Dobbs took a step back and the guy that "that needs his head checked" beat him out by massive strides. If Dobbs is better than Peterman, Dobbs would be number 2 on the chart. Especially given how the line has been and how fortunate Worley has been to not get seriously injured hit after hit.
I am quick to talk up his performance because he looked fine for a true freshman.
He could be good enough to play now, but the staff wants him an extra year. A redshirt grants that, Again, I don't know why it's so hard for you to grasp this concept.
Peterman has not beat Dobbs out in 'massive strides' as reports have noted that the 2nd string on the depth chart for QB are labeled 2a and 2b.

It's just the fact that a lot of wise guys on here see the third stronger getting reps as him going straight from third string to starter and jumping the guy who beat him out in practice. That's absurd and clearly shows why some people are wearing headsets and some are on a keyboard.

Could be that neither are very good and not really that far apart regardless of who is 2 and who is 3.

How can you possibly know that for fact? You can't and don't.

Seems like since Butch is playing freshmen and sophomores like crazy, the best players will be playing. Even the backup QB is one play away with this line and Worley clearly drinks his milk before each game cause those hits and lands on his throwing arm have been brutal. I find it funny the 4 game of the season Worley has a brutal looking injury and there were no changes to reps in practice the following week with More for Dobbs and less for peterman. Because with 8 games to go, a good coach should know with our line the backup better be ready to go and the staff seems to have more faith with the remaining 8 games in Peterman should his number get called rather than Dobbs.

Tape says other wise. Go back and watch the QB's during spring and look at which QB was on target and hitting passes on time. SPOILER ALERT: it ain't Dobbs.

Sorry people. I'm entitled to my opinion just as much as you are. I'm going to step down and agree to disagree at this point, as it is getting hard to keep up with everyone replying to me right now. Good night to all, Go Vols, and let's just hope that at the end of the week we can find a serviceable QB, no matter who it may be.

OK, I have to reply. If we're going off tape in the spring, then watch the spring game. Peterman and Dobbs played the same people with much different results.

Then why are you automatically saying Dobbs Dobbs Dobbs when we have a healthy 2nd stringer that will see the field before Dobbs. The only reason Dobbs is getting reps is because Worley is a no go and we aren't going to risk Peterman getting hurt and not having a back up practice this week. Dobbs does not play unless Nate is not able to go in due to injury. Even if it's 52-0, Nate stays in. Butch made the mistake of listening to the fan base once, he won't do it again.

You use absolute statements in an opinion? You get a reaction.

So Dobbs had one good day out of 15 practices and Peterman had an okay spring game with 15 consistent practices. Same trend happened in the QB competition leading up to the season opener. Which was between Peterman and Worley.

Amazing. 38 minutes of playing time and people can determine a players playing career.[/QUOTE

Dude, Peterman just doesn't look good..period. This or last year. He looks overwhelmed and scared as hell every single play. Maybe he has more to show us, maybe not. Worley has gotten too slow on his reads and cant move around to keep the play alive, and Peterman moves around but can't find/hit his man... Dobbs deserves another chance..

Bottom line is that there is no way in hell CBJ would not play Dobbs if he were the better option. There is a reason that Dobbs is not playing and is third behind Peterman. Why people can't understand that is beyond me.

Dobbs deserves another chance after 3.5 games. Peterman does not deserve another chance after 38 minutes of playing time. Right.......

So Dobbs only had one good day which was a crazy spring game performance, and Peterman can practice like heck, but can't even show up in a spring game. Something doesn't add up.

I did though, because Peterman has shown no signs of being an SEC QB. He had his chance and failed utterly both times. No one expected Manning to trot on the field, but I certainly expected better than those two performances.

However, I will agree that Bajakian called terrible play for Peterman vs UGA. Peterman just has happy feet while standing in the pocket IMO.

Where was his chance? Playing Florida with a broken finger was a 'chance'? Relentless blitzes from UGA hitting him 2 seconds after the snap?

Fact is, Peterman has barely played - and only under horrible circumstances. He deserves a real chance.

Peterman didn't stink up his part of the spring game.

haha you are unreal. Yes, they leave the best player on the team in the game and subbed the other guys out (sarcasm).

The entire starting defense is in the game at the end of the 3rd quarter. Watch the video at the exact spot I posted the pic.

Come on Hands, he's got a good story going, don't ruin it with evidence that screws it up. He says Dobbs only played against scrubs so, Dobbs must've come in and only played against scrubs.

Well he definitely didn't look anywhere near as good as Dobbs. Someone who apparently practices that well consistently should at least be talked about, right?

It was Dobbs and Worley being talked about after the spring game, with a little bit of 'Ferguson doesn't look as good as we thought' talk.

He should have taken himself out of the game after the broken thumb against Florida. I think the 5 yards passing, -3 yards rushing, and 3 turnovers in a half will forever be burned into fans minds. Fair or not he will be judged on that until he proves he has more to offer

Peterman looked horrible even before he broke his finger vs Florida. He's never look good, except against UTC. Wooo!
