If Dobbs somehow went to the Browns, I would become a Brown's fan. I'm not even an NFL fan, but I would by my first jersey and cheer for them with him there. I hate bandwagon fans, so I would jump on board early

He is in terms of talent but the NFL is a copycat league. No one is gonna take a guy in the 1st round that some have as a day 3 pick.

I said a few weeks ago that Dobbs would jump up draft boards once he performs at the senior bowl and the combine.

I still think 2nd round is a possibility. 4th round is the latest he will go.

There is absolutely no way to predict this UNLESS you are to be selected in the 1st round. I remember when the Raiders selected a kicker in the 1st round. I also remember when Tampa Bay used a high selection to draft a kicker.
I also remember when Tebow was selected in the 1st round. I also remember when Tate the running back from Auburn was drafted AFTER the running back from Stanford, Toby......... Can't remember his last name.
I also remember when Pittsburgh told the Bray family that they would definitely draft Tyler on draft day, but he ended up with K.C. and Pittsburgh took Landry Jones.

No way to predict this sort of stuff beyond the early first round.

He was famously ranked in the 4th round by Kiper.

Never knew that one. Found this

• Kiper rated Purdue QB Jeff George as the 84th-best player in the 1990 draft; George was chosen No. 1 overall by Indianapolis; he went 46-78 as a starter plus a 1-2 playoff record, in 12 seasons with five NFL teams. As on-screen graphics were being prepared for 1990 draft show, someone at ESPN asked Kiper why George wasn't on the list of top prospects. "He said, Well, I can't put up a Top 40 list and not have the No. 1 guy.' I said, Well, put him 40th. If you have to put him somewhere, put him 40th,' " Kiper remembers.

Reggie McKenzie GM

I think he would really get a legitimate shot with McKenzie and the Raiders. Cleveland is a sinkhole.. a cold azz sinkhole. Playing with the Raiders, starting in a couple of years and teaming up with K Mac.. Good luck Mr Dobbs!!

The Dak effect will help Josh get drafted higher.

Seems that the Cowboys might be a take on Dobbs? Surely they cut ties w Romo. That would make room for another in the mold of their starter.
I'm not quitting my day job, due to the fact I'm no NFL scout or GM. tifwiw

Anybody catch his response when asked about Hurd up and leaving?

Way more of a distraction to our team than some would like to let on. And when he mentions distractions in the media he is talking about everything from journalists to fans on a message board.

So you spoke to Josh and clarified what he meant by "media"? Stop pushing the narrative that what's said on a fan forum that typically has 2,500-3,000 people on it at any given time had ANY effect on what's happening within the program....that's foolish imo.

Josh has dealt and continues to deal with true local, regional and national print media....reporters, analysts and commentators....not Fred from Bucksnort who posts an opinion about Dobbs intermediate pass accuracy.

I just hope he doesn't go to a team I hate.

You can't say I'm pushing a narrative yet blame anything and everything that happens on Coach Jones. You're not in the locker room so when you post your opinion like it's fact your pushing your narrative. Par for the course for you negabutchies.

Not just fans from Volnation. IT's people with accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook ect directly posting to the players accounts. But you keep telling yourself this isn't happening. Not sure if you actually believe that or your head is really that far up your azz. :dunno:

3 potential replacements for Ben Roethlisberger in the 2017 NFL draft | Steelers Wire

Josh Dobbs, Tennessee
Moving to something more of a mid-round prospect we have Tennessee QB Josh Dobbs. However, there are a ton of similarities between Dobbs and Kizer. Both guys are big, strong athletic players who are fearless and tough to plan for. Dobbs isn’t as good on the deep throws as Kizer, but has excellent velocity on his throws. If you are looking for a guy to come in and run the Steelers offense the way Roethlisberger did, both guys are going to need some time. However you can’t coach the physical gifts they have and as with Kizer, Dobbs can make every NFL throw.

Would love for the steelers to get Dobbs.
