If Dobbs is struggling in the pocket, why wouldn't you give him some easy throws to make? Quick slants or roll the pocket so he has an option to pass or run. I don't think the offensive play calling is helping him out at all.

He doesn't care. Just trying to build his case why Dobbs sucks.

He definitely isn't the answer. But by all means, keep going. Your lack of ability to show how I'm wrong, and yet keep talking, makes me laugh.

Good ol' Tennessee Football.

The best QB we will ever have is in the next recruiting class.

Yes he is. You have no clue how awful our OL has been if you are judging Dobbs off of his last two games. Without Dobbs, the vols lose to USCe and candy. He literally won the game for us this last sat. I'm sorry, but this post is idiotic.

Did we not just win 3 out of 4 with Dobbs at QB? Now I know why I stopped posting on here for awhile...

Yeah, that accuracy problem when he doesn't have pressure, is because of the Oline. The missing wide open receivers and locking onto 1 WR is an Oline problem. The inability to read defenses quickly......yep you guessed it.....Oline problem.

Ohhhhhh and those darn practice reps where he can't hit the broad side of a barn......you guessed it again. Oline.

I just hope to have a football IQ and talent evaluation as great as yours. In fact, please go offer your services to Butch Jones because he put Dobbs as 3rd string.

He as a max of two seconds to get the ball out. you don't think it completely throws him off if he's not hit after two seconds? i do. he's scatter brained because he has to expect a blind side blow. not to mention Pearson and Pig are the only WR's he had last night. Don't know what's happened to Ethan Wolfe but he disappeared weeks ago. But your right, Dobbs blows and we should bank on a true freshman next year

LittleDTO. You are dealing with a crass manipulator who will never hold himself accountable when proven wrong. Trust me, I've nailed him to the wall a dozen different times. He behaves like a greased pig and runs away when there is no possible escape. He will never be honest when proven wrong. Pride won't permit it.

The OP simply pointed out the same deficiencies our head coach has about Dobbs. He is inconsistent. I think everyone believes Dobbs is the only answer this season but his lack of consistency and reliability in the passing game is concerning.

LittleDelusionalThereObviously still spewing verbal garbage about the kid as if you have any credible knowledge. Look..you don't like the kid, we get it. Anyone with half a brain can see he's work in progress, the teams resources are limited at WR with injuries, freshman still needing to develop at that position, Hurd absent, obvious O-Line issues...well to most anyway. All the things to compliment his game you can point a finger at. He needs to improve, we know that. The kid will tell you himself he needs to improve. Oh yeah...we won the game! It wasn't pretty but most are glad we won except....

You are correct. However, Dobbs has largely been given mostly easy passes that amount to little more than a handoff. That's why he maintains decent 'completion percentage' stats while going backwards or nowhere.

Clearly, Dobbs strength is his mobility. He can escape pressure, so the rollouts helped immensely to offset the lack of protection. It does seem that we've seen less of these lately. As you say imply, Dobbs needs to stay mobile. I'm just getting more concerned about the passing. He seems to be regressing towards his historical norm of inaccuracy and inexplicable throws. He has great arm strength, but no touch. He passes well on a rope.

I know. I have zero credible knowledge. Those pesky passing stats aren't reliable.

I know, why don't you just make up some stats to fit your own paradigm. That would be credible.

I know. I like making the greased pig squirm though. Especially if he can't be honest and resorts to manipulation.

Go Vols.

You're right for once...those passing stats don't mean anything if you don't consider entire scope of the issues with the team. Think about that for a minute.

I specifically picked those teams because even as bad as our Oline is, it's still better than those teams. Our WR are better than those teams too.

I enjoy it too. Dishonest manipulative people are a huge pet peeve. Heck, somebody needs to speak truth into the echo chamber of hype. It won't make you popular around here, but at least you are honest. Good job.

GOOOOOOOOO VOLS!

Here is the only stat that matters: with Dobbs at QB we won 3 out of 4 games in November. I'm sorry bro, you are looking for reasons to dislike him.
