Not only no, but heck no. How can you welcome a guy back who sits out spring practice on his own merit? Chances are, he's in the doghouse the whole fall for doing so anyway. The only way he passes Poole, Oku and Neal on the depth chart now is if he is way better than those three and he's not. He's also way behind with the new staff.

It would be harder for me to say this if he wasn't so overrated, but he is. Adios prima donna. :good!:

Exactly. My vote is for he!! no. Bridge is burned. He needs to just move on. We're rebuilding this program. Just not worth the risk to chemistry and morale. Btw, if the OP is the real Heath Shuler, I'll eat my laptop.

Really? He must be well liked then. Seems like a least a few would have a issue there.
I hope those few aren't o-line guys if he comes back, they themselves being young and inexpierienced to a degree if they don't give an honest effort when they run their blocking assignments out of closet disrespect issues when he gets the ball it'll get ugly. I like many here have an opinion of his efforts when I saw him play. There are many factors that went into how well or how poorly he performed or appeared to. Among those he was young getting aquainted with a pretty sophisticated offense so when his number was called all his skills looked dampened maybe. IMO at times just like Arian Foster he ran more like a FB playing TB, hesitatiting before he hit the lane almost as if he was over estimating his speed and under estimating the defenses speed reacting to him.

Heath you know more than most what is going on up there so if you think so i will go with you on that .By the way you were a great Q B for us and spokesman.cant wait for another Shuler on the hill.

I don't believe he is the real Heath Shuler. If so he was awful young when he played for us. His profile says he is only 27.

I think he has demonstrated that he is not fully commited to the effort and sacrifice needed to be a member of the team that can be counted on when the going gets tough. How much effort the coaches and team members are willing to commit to getting his mind right is not something I can comment on in a fashion that really matters. If the ball were in my court, and the team was willing, I would give him one more chance to earn his way back into the good graces of the Tennessee Volunteers. In my opinion, if he is allowed to return or even wants to, it would benefit him much more than the team. Tennessee will be Tennessee with or without Bryce Brown. My prediction is that if he does return, he is only delaying the eventual inevitable. May as well get the team built without him sooner rather than later.

I can assure you I don't care. Bryce Brown will not make or break Dooley's first year. Those of you that think that are ignorant.

sure me too but its the fact that we may revisit the 2 backs able to dominate on the same day like the Cobb/Webb did. If Brown/Poole can be half as good we will win 8 games easily

That would be awesome to watch. I think we need to do what we are best at and the talent with BB in the backfield with Poole would be one of the best tandems in the SEC.

don't take it the wrong way anybody, but I want any extra good players on this team I can get.....save the ones with the major discipline issues

should he return he will quietly work to earn his place as a starter. he worked his tail off last pre-season and had an exceptionally average freshman year (you can argue that it was above average for a freshman in the SEC). those on here that think he is going to return and think he is owed the starting position and screw with team chemistry are about as "in the know" on this matter as a blind man with a blindfold. if he does return, and i hope he does, i think many on here will be pleasantly surprised with his work ethic.

as for Poole, i wish the kid the best of luck. i think he was undervalued by the last staff. but what on gods earth has he done better than Brown?

UT needs brown back big time. He's the real deal at RB.

you base that off his freshmen year or his last high school year ?
Did BB get the carries over Poole last year because he was better or because of X trying to kiss BB azz ?

Technically speaking he hasn't left the team. He is still on the roster.

I never knew we had a coach named X. That's pretty cool. Wish I had his autograph.

YES! I usaully say if he don't bleed orange then I don't want him here. But I think there's more to his decision to maybe transfer than we really know. JMO. But I would love to have him back to get reps with Poole. I think that would be awesome.

Edit- Also I think it's good to have a really good player just incase Poole get's hurt. Don't take it the wrong way but id much rather have Poole backing up Brown(or Brown backin up Poole), than to have a FR Neal and SO Oku to back up Pool if he ever gets hurt. JMO!

In a typical situation I would say no, but we need every athlete and good ball player we can get regardless of the position at this point
