I really don't understand the love for Nate.

It's very simple - he has the measurables, a skillset at his size, and the room to grow that NBA teams lust after. College production is far down the list of things the NBA looks at - it's how his skillset translates to the NBA game and the potential of what it could one day be.

My hope is that he ends up in a spot like OKC where he can be brought along at his own pace in a great organization without the pressure of having to produce right away. I think he goes in the 10-14 area, but it wouldn't shock me to see him jump into the top 10.

I understand drafting a player on potential but not unless all of the experienced players have been taken. Nate is a few years away from any kind of dominance. I am afraid he is going to get Knected out of the top 10 picks.

Yes, because non-playoff teams get to participate in the lottery, they call all of the top 14 picks lottery picks. It’s misleading because only 5 teams actually won the lottery and the remainder select based on win records.

Juke actually had more rebounds last year than Ament. Ament avgd around .3 more blocks.
What’s stands out to me is Juke had more steals and 20 fewer turnovers equaling about 30 more possessions for his team from steals and not turning it over.

The rebounding numbers are almost identical, yes Nate blocked a few more shots, but at 6’10” that seems expected, but also not something I really need my 3 to be proficient in. The difference in offensive numbers and advanced offensive numbers is much more staggering than that of rebounding and blocked shots…maybe Nate’s offense would’ve taken a great spike this year, we’ll never know, but going off the data we have from last year Juke was the better college player.

Exactly. I don't know how much clearer his camp and Barnes could have possibly made it.

My guess is he's going from 8-12, depending on trades, etc.

Measurables and potential. But he is a pretty high bust risk, I think. He needs a lot of development and it's not rare at all for those guys not to pan out.

From what I have gathered, a team in that lottery range has told Ament’s camp, that if he is available when they are up…they are taking him.
