how well you play in a bowl doesnt effect your ranking the following season.....Quality of conference, strength of schedule? Where are you getting this from? The last one is never gonna be 100% true. you can say arguably, but not for sure. Everyone will be biased toward their own conference in that sense.

I'm definitely not a Gator or Bama fan but I will be pulling for all SEC teams to win their bowl games. I'm sick of all the SEC bashing at Rivals.
I'll go back to hating them on Jan 9th.:salute:

I never said anything about next year. Over time, a reputation builds though.

Personally, I had a similiar dilema in '98 when you guys were playing FSU for the NC. For weeks I thought I would be pulling for FSU due to our lose to UT on that missed FG in overtime. 2 minutes into the game, I started going for the Vols. Then again, UT doesn't "hate" OSU like the UF does FSU.

Curious as to why you think Tebow (or Meyer) is arrogant? I mean, here's a guy who's volunteered his life every summer to working with kids in 3rd world countries. Is it just because he's a Gator why you think that? My bet is on the latter.

Why should I care if UF wins? It does nothing to help my Vols. Further, them winning a MNC will only hurt us later on (recruiting).

Screw UF, I hope they get beat soundly so I can express doubt to my Gator friends on whether or not they should have even been there in the first place.

Some of you guys put too much stock into rooting for the SEC.

If it's any consolation I would root for UF over bama. But thats only because rooting for both teams to lose would be a wasted root.

Go SEC! Florida winning the championship is not going to hurt our recruiting efforts anymore than if they lose the big game, they will still pull in the top kids from Florida. Look at Miami and FSU, that is what is helping Florida in their recruiting.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If a SEC team is playing for a championship or a BCS bowl, they have my vote.

Personally it really doesn't matter. Its SEC braggin' rights to me. I live in Big Ten/Notre Dame country now. I want nothing more to rub it in to my co-workers how OUR conference ran all over their respective teams. Otherwise if LSU/Auburn/Florida lose I have to listen to how over-rated the SEC is.

Yes, I dont like Florida. But I do like my conference.

Exactly, I was going to add that. If I was young again and lived back home, my feelings would be that.

Now I really cant stand Notre Dame. I'm forced to see a reminder of them everywhere I go. I had to endure last seasons lose up here at South Bend in the stands and I'm still being tormented about that.

Anyway, Go Vols!

I hope every remaining SEC team wins their bowl game. Plus, I remember the way OSU bitched and moaned when they didn't make the BCS NCG in '98 against us. They had a mock game on the radio and they won- who'da thunk it?

I hope you guys win. I want Florida to lose to every SEC school but I want every SEC team to win outside our conference. Unless a late season Florida loss to FSU would put us in the SEC CG ha ha. Good luck.
