Do you get....

Slowing it down would have been acceptable.

I think he poured gas on it.

A lot of what happened to UT this year was under Dooley's control. A lot of it wasn't. It was 50/50. Next year is when we really learn what kind of coach Dooley is. I will reserve my full judgement until then.

That's fine, as long as UT is actually willing to hold him accountable when the team fails to win 8 games.

Who is going to poney up that kind of money for a new coach after spending as much as they did on facilities? Do we have boosters just lining up that I am unaware of to throw money at coaches for UT? Are you going to help pay the new coach?

Is UTs AD in that bad of shape?

All these folks making decisions with other people's money. I bet we have a lot of Obama supporters on this board.

It's not other people's money at all. Hart controls a $100m per year budget. For now, at least.

He could probably have five million in cash tomorrow if he went into First Tennessee and said "Hey, you guys know that giant ad next to the Jumbotron in Neyland? You can have it free for the next X years." Coming up with cash shouldn't have anything to do with any coaching decision he makes.

some of you guys think this is a lottery ticket deal.

I just lost!
go buy another for $5
Dang it! I lost again

LOL Grow up. Its not just money that fixes the problem. Its time as well.

You can pay all the money in the world for an Oak tree to grow to 20 feet within a year but it's not going to happen. The good news is that when it is 20 feet it has alot of stability and isn't going anywhere fast.
This is all about the ability to draw top athletes to your program. Ultimately, that is what will return UTK to pre-eminence in the SEC. You don't get the top athletes to come to your program doing the slow build up. Except in the case of legacies, the best players want to be associated with the best programs. It begs the question: How does a program that's down create an air of greatness that will attract top players? By hiring a guy who is percieved as being a highly sought after, successful coach. What happened today is a prime example. A&M with Sumlin and UF with Muschamp hired guys who have the perception of being highly sought after, successful coaches. We don't have a coach with that type of gravitasse and we got punked, twice.

Kiffin was by far the most attractive free agent in 2008.

Before that Majors.

Fulmer was considered a fantastic assistant that was going to eventually be a good HC.

Didn't we get turned down by 2 or 3 coaches before we even offered Kiffin the job?

Got to go reshaft some Titleist and build some Miura's for the evening so I have to bow out.

I started a Golf Shop that I failed at time and time again but I finally righted the ship and now my business is very Blessed. I started the business with hardly any money and no backing out of my garage as it was better than unemployment 6 years ago. It didn't just boom overnight as I had to work at it for long hours and at times I felt like giving up on it but after a while the hard work paid off.

I have been given the opportunity to succeed after many failures in life and I believe I finally figured it out. Point is... I'm glad my friends and family don't treat me the way you guys are treating CDD. We don't know yet if this team is going in the right direction but many of you can't give him enough time to find out.
