What happens if this class gets stronger and we win 10 games next year? See, I can do this too.

I hope that happens. But there is no proof that it will happen. There is nothing there that leads one to believe that Tn can win 6 games next year.Just hope. Now if we schedule div2 and mid majors of the world I see 10 wins.

You're right. There is barely 6 wins on the schedule next year. We should just pick up shop, and drop football.

How great have we recruited following a 5-7 season? Name another team in the top 25 in recruiting this year who isn't going to a bowl? I'll wait patiently for your answer. I know it will take you a while.

Tennessee is expected to be in the top 15 or so in recruiting. Dooley's there.

He's meeting expectations in one facet of his job.

Dooley is responsible for a 5-7 season this year. He is the head coach. The fanbase is pissed that a bargain basement hire isn't working out.

The fans are tired of being reminded that "just because you start for Tennessee doesn't mean you're any good" or that Bray broke his thumb or Hunter tore his ACL.

The man has done nothing but offer excuse after excuse and actually went backwards this year. There is no reason a guy like James Stone turns into a bench warmer. Saying he's not physically strong enough is a direct reflection on the staff.

There's no reason a guy like Brent Brewer becomes non existent or a CB never turn to find the ball in the air.

A 5-7 season speaks for itself. The fans don't have to do anything.

Exactly....the head coach has to answer for this. I don't blame a recruit for choosing aTm over us. Their new HC is a proven winner and is going to a team that has a chance to win early.

And the dookie about recruiting kids that aren't SEC caliber is garbage...we had Fulmer and just saw the product of this last senior class.

What leads you to believe 7 wins keeps Dooley?

LWS has said something similar, as well as many of the more credible posters on Volquest. The only number that has been brought up that would make anyone nervous is 6 wins. I know you think your vast knowledge of everything that is Volnation makes you think you know more than everyone else, but it doesn't.

So Volquest told you so?

Are you on the "ESPN hates us" bandwagon too?

I expect Tennessee and its fans to not settle for mediocrity.

Why are you changing the subject? Who said anything about ESPN? Who is settling for mediocrity? I just think it will take a few more top 15 recruiting classes to gain the talent and depth we need to be competitive in the SEC, especially when we played several top 25 teams almost in a row.

a proven winner? wasn't he 5-7 a couple of years ago, its a little easier to win with a senior laden class and a 5th year senior qb

7-8 Wins and Dooley is safe. I know it's not what fans want to hear, but it's reality.

7-8 wins were unexceptable for Zook by Florida standards so why should they be expectable for Tennessee? Heck Muschamp is probably sweating bullets right now!

This is what he does when he doesn't have a response. It's how he rolls.
