It's a crap shoot. Rarely does the best team win. It's almost always one of the best, but quite often never the team that could be labeled as "regular season champs".
Lol, we have one of the best benches in the country. We've only lost three games, all three to really good teams. You guys are insanely pessimistic.
The Men's team will go deeper in the Tournament that the Lady VOLS...book it..
If they truly believe they can, they will.
I am confident VolNation is over-reacting. I don’t trust polls - coaches are biased and so is the media. I think the true indicator to use is Vegas - too much money involved to let bias enter into the equation. As of yesterday UT only had seven teams with better odds to make the final four. You started the season at 40 to 1 - ended December at 15 to 1. You now are at 16 to 1. Vegas hasn’t negatively waivered much even with two recent loses.
OooookayyyyThis ain't Upward and everyone is not a winner! Vols are not the most talented team in the nation and they will need to play more consistent on offense (need Bowden, Turner, and Alexander to step up) and be tougher on the defensive end and in rebounding.
It's possible but they will need to play at their highest level, get some good match ups, and get a few breaks along the way. Doubtful but possible.
For one I never said we had the best in the county, I said one of.... Also, Most teams are lucky to have one player as good as Bowden or Turner coming off of their bench. Turner was SEC 6th man of the year last year and Bowden could possibly win it this year. Also, Pons is freakishly ahtletic and Fulkerson is not bad when he comes off the bench. There are top ten ten teams in the country with zero bench production. Take a look at Duke's bench.Bowden, Turner, and Pons don't quite add up to the best bench in the country. When Alexander is out the drop-off in talent and size is BIG.
