Do we make the Final 4?

For one I never said we had the best in the county, I said one of.... Also, Most teams are lucky to have one player as good as Bowden or Turner coming off of their bench. Turner was SEC 6th man of the year last year and Bowden could possibly win it this year. Also, Pons is freakishly ahtletic and Fulkerson is not bad when he comes off the bench. There are top ten ten teams in the country with zero bench production. Take a look at Duke's bench.
Pons has been a non factor for a long time

We will go to the sweet 16 and with a little luck of the draw to the final 4, there is not that 1 team out there that is dominated the season from the start , Duke,Kentucky, NC, Zags , Cavs and Tennessee one of them will cut the nets down in April you got about 8 more teams out there that could get to the final 4 but they can't win it like Kansas Michigan and a few others, we just got to get hot right before the dance starts and we will make a deep run.
Kansas is done. Did you see beat down by tech?

No. That would require that we win four games, the last two or three against very good teams. We’re too inconsistent now. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we make it to the second weekend.

Probably not. It takes a favorable draw, good play at the right time, not having an off night, and not catching somebody on a hot shooting night.

If yes, like this post. If not, tell me what your reasons for thinking so are. I'm trying to make a poll, but it keeps giving me an error message. Going to try and edit this after to add the poll option.

I think we do, as long as we don't run into Kentucky on a neutral floor. Being a 2 or 3 seed could definitely hurt us, so we need to win out. There are only a few teams I fear (Kentucky and LSU of course, as well as Duke). Otherwise, I think we can definitely make it to the Final 4. If we meet up with a team that has length inside and hits the 3 at a high percentage, we could find trouble sooner than we expect.

At this point, I would say no, though hope springs eternal. Why? Lack of depth...a short bench. I am just not convinced our rotation of 7 will have the stamina and the legs to win four straight games to reach the final four. Hope I am wrong.

If this team can get back to playing the kind of defense they did last year, it would take care of a lot of the "what ifs" outlined above. Just need a return to that down and dirty, blue collar attitude. Should be interesting to watch them finish the season and see if they can return to playing hungry and with a real chip on their shoulders.

It is all about the timing of when our three point shooters regain their confidence and start performing like we all know they are capable of, one game awhile back we shot 64% overall I think it was and we were raining threes all night. We can do it if clicking on all eight cylinders.

Based on the little we know today I lean towards yes actually but of course that will depend on what we see the next few weeks and what opponents are in our bracket. I strongly feel we will reach the Elite 8. I really think that on a neutral court we will be too much for most teams with how well we generally move the ball on offense to create great shots. I don’t think we will win it all due to our D. We do give up a lot of 3s but what we can’t afford is to let our on-ball defense be as poor as it was against Smart from LSU. If teams are able to get in the lane AND hit 3s on us we will be in big trouble. If we are just giving up some 3s and playing our usual efficient offense then we will probably be ok. Grant and/or Schofield will get theirs. We will go as far as our guards take us. Bone needs to generate his usual 7ish assists, we need Turner to have his quick scoring outbursts, and we need Bowden to knock down a couple 3s a game. I really think these games at KY and at LSU are fantastic prep games leading up to the tournament. So I say chances of Elite 8 are 90% and Final 4 are 50%. Every single time I see a bracket projection I come away thinking we are the best team in whatever region is shown. If possible I’d rather avoid KY, Duke, UNC, and maybe Gonzaga but odds are one of those teams will be in our bracket. Come this weekend we will have wins over two of those four teams though so we really can beat anyone. Let’s all keep our heads up as this has been a great ride to this point and we aren’t nearly done. We have titles to win!

As of now I think we are out in the second round. Best being Sweet 16. If this team comes out like they should and beats Ole Miss and Kentucky then they might change my mind. I see us losing again to UK though and the other games don't make me feel good either.

I need to see the remainder of the regular season to feel one way or another.

Based on the last week, I think this team lost some of its toughness that it had early on. I think this is due to an exceptionally weak SEC schedule. Once they hit real adversity again, they floundered.

I think with the right draw, they can make the final four but I'm not ready to say that UT can make the final 4 no matter who they play. They just arent proving to be that tough any more.

Since you normally only show after a loss.
