Nor, do they know how many women, who thought there was no other option, become aware of resources for their pregnancy that doesn't require them killing the unborn. Much of this happens through vigils and rallies. No one should rally outside a clinic unless they are willing to get their hands dirty and get involved with that person's life.

Abortion is big business and there is tons on money at stake. Abby Johnson has shed light on the deception and manipulation in this industry.

I do think the father should get a say. Especially if he's wanting 100% custody. Now If the two are married is a joint decision, like all decisions should be when you're married.

Child support is a completely separate topic. But I'll jump in that pool as well. I don't believe a father should have to pay child support if there is joint custody involved. If a father does not want partial custody, then child support should be paid.

On the plus side. This has generated some good conversation. Haven't really seen any "you're stupid" or "liberal douche" stuff being thrown around.

Here is my conundrum. I fully agree with your first statement from a "legal" standpoint. My personal views are somewhat different. I realize that many people will say that our elected leaders should have good character and lead from the heart, etc. etc. While I agree with the character, I don't believe that leading from the heart and using your personal belief system is necessarily valid in all instances for a major political leader.

I put forth that there MUST be some limit on abortion but at the same time agree that I can't enforce my will either way on the general public if I am an elected official. What kind of condition would warrant a woman carrying a fetus/baby to nearly the end of the second trimester and then deciding to abort unless something were wrong with the fetus/baby or there was danger to her life? Are we saying that women just wake up one morning after being pregnant for 6 months and just decide they don't want to have a kid?

We tend to take a normal pregnancy for granted.....until your wife gets pregnant the first time and then EVERYTHING is scary.

I find it galling that you would advocate allowing an abortion of a healthy baby the day before it would be born.

My sister in law is currently prego with an "oops" to say it nicely. She almost went into labor at 22 weeks. Dr's flat out said the baby had little to no chance unless they can stop the contractions. Mainly because the lungs were so undeveloped. Their plan was to get her to at a minimum to 28 weeks. This would essentially give the baby a "better chance".

If your a parent and haven't made the decision to terminate by that time the there is something terribly wrong with you.

Just an fyi... She's currently at 30 weeks and doing fine. Hoping to get to 36 weeks now.

I agree that 36 weeks is extremely late to be thinking abortion. At that point the decision of keeping the baby should have already been made and I'm 90% sure that all genetic testing had already been complete.
