I’m sure the seniors care about the rest of season but what about the other players? Are they making their way to transfer portal?
I heard from a reliable source that most of the team know those that have left have regretted it. Some have got more money, some more PT but very few have moved to a better program or situation.I’m sure the seniors care about the rest of season but what about the other players? Are they making their way to transfer portal?
Competitors care…. Alpha dogs care…. Sore losers care…. All the work that goes into playing means they care….. but if there are any that don’t….. F ‘em. The team doesn’t need themI’m sure the seniors care about the rest of season but what about the other players? Are they making their way to transfer portal?
This has been the question about the draft for bowl "opt outs" for the last several years. You expect all the players to bail because we lost to Oklahoma? Really?
The underclassmen that plan to be at Tennessee next year and want to be a starter should care - they still have 4 games to prove their ability.
And even those that may plan on transferring - what does that say about their character when they just give up because something didn't go their way? Why would any school want a quitter?!?!
We had a couple hit the portal not many days for our playoff butt whipping last season....That's about as bad as it gets.
Come on. Everyone was clamoring for players to "get theirs" and now that they are, we're calling it a culture issue? Kids are going to chase a dollar. Most won't sniff the NFL so this is their peak earning time. Has nothing to do with the culture. This is now a business. The sooner fans accept this new reality the better. We'll find out in the next few weeks. If they don't, then we don't have the right culture within the program.
I don't know if everyone was clamoring for it but the Supreme Court certainly said it needed to happen that the kids get a piece of the pie.Come on. This reflects my thoughts on paying players. Here is your base per game (x), you grade out every game from great (y1), good (y2), satisfactory (y3) you get paid more accordingly. Play < satisfactory (-z1), bad (-z2), awful (-z3).Well, the better you play the more your perceived worth is. It would be dumb not to care, though I suppose it’s possible.
