DLine recruit

which is great but the post I was responding to said

Monte did great against pro style offenses, but the spread and other high paced offenses destroy him. It has happened at USC a lot too. I don't think he is that great in the college game. He could still probably be a great d coordinator in the NFL though.

And he's coaching against the best offenses in the country in the Pac-12.

BB, can you look up the numbers for when they were here? I think that defense, with absolutely no depth, was one of the best in the SEC.

Pretty sure that is not correct. UT dropped quite a bit is defensive stats with change from Coach Chavis to Coach Kiffin. Still pretty good but worse.

Hey BB, I said no disrespect to Coach Monte. It was just an opinion. Everyone is eventually past their prime. No need to get your feathers ruffled. I said that after this year people will be talking about our current staff...is that bad?

Monty isn't even USC's DC. He is basically just there to hang out and advise if asked.

His best days of coaching, which were fantastic, are long gone.
I'm pretty sure he's the DC. They just gave Orgeron the title, so he didn't have to pay Tennessee buyout money.

And get paid. Not a bad gig imo

I don't blame him. He's old and tired. He wants to be there to protect his son and help him as needed. I got no problems with it. But to act like going to play for Monte right now is equal to playing for Monte 8-10 years ago in the pros just isn't accurate. He found out it was a different game and he's really late in a career to learn to adapt.

I'll take Sal over Monte. If Monte is so Great tell me how he was able to Help Eric Berry with that interception record? Oh yeah he didn't. Lets see he entered the season roughly 37 yards short of the record and finished 20 short.... yeah he knew exactly how to use Mr. Berry.....
Wow.

I can agree with this. The situation works out well for him. His name continues to draw players to play for him. I'm sure he can still teach players a thing or two about the game as well.

Possibly the most insane post I have ever read.

He's a mystery man. Could be someone we haven't really even been talking about yet, but I think we've eliminated Hatcher and Bellamy for sure. Could be Herron, but probably not (at least not yet). Some on here have pinned it down to perhaps either Elijah Daniel or Devante Covington. Could possibly be Rochelle or Riles as well, but seems like we were playing second fiddle for both of them recently. Does anyone know if Kimbrough plays dline at his high school? It's a dline high school guy who is projected at linebacker.

Cam toney or lewis neal? My guesses.

I'd rule out Toney, because I think he plays backer in high school. Neal is a possibility. I don't know whether or not he's visited multiple times though. Seems like I remember Skeeter saying it was also a recruit who had already visited here at least twice and would be returning for a visit with his mother in the next three weeks.
