DKJr. Is a game time decision.

Did you not see the replay with DKJr's foot flopping around like a dangling participle in the VaTech game??

I'm not sure how they've got his foot stabilized to the rest of his leg this early but I'm pretty sure that IF he plays he will have a hard time being effective this week.

Unfortunately, and not being a Negavol here, but Gorilla Glue, duct tape and staples will be severely challenged to keep his lower extremity attached sufficiently for him to play this Saturday. :geek:

Dramatic much??? Lol it got twisted and sprained, was never "dangling." Sheesh!

So he is likely not 100%. Some might say a less than 100% DK is still better than what we have, but I dont know about that. Of course we are so thin at LB, he will have to play regardless.

I know that it's reassuring to quote VFL34 because he was on the last UT team to win a championship and is still really involved with the program and provides us some awesome insight. But VFL34 has literally lived the "next man up" role. Hopefully as many of you remember, Jamal Lewis went down with an ACL injury in the 4th game of the 98' season after rushing for nearly 1400 yards the season before.

What did VFL34 do? Did he fold and make excuses before playing #7 UGA the following weekend? Hell no. He and Travis Henry shared the load and we won the game 22-3. NEXT MAN UP. If anyone said back in August that we would be relying on Jumper to be a staple of the defense halfway through the season they would be crucified, including myself.

We have depth on this team, just some inexperience. If a guy like jumper can go from walk on to one of the leading tacklers on a top ten D1 program, I'm thrilled to see who is going to step up to the plate next.

As of now we seem like we'll have less guys out than we thought at the end of the day this past Saturday. Let's get behind this team, because Lord knows they're not about to call it quits. I have faith in this team and this season...lets kick some a** Saturday, GO BIG ORANGE!!!!

Almost a half a week between tonight and Saturday, I dont think you rule DK out yet.

This is why recruiting and rotating younger players in before injuries force you to is so important...

If DKJ can't make the bama game, should we be hoping for a redshirt? I don't see much reason to play him in the next 5 games. Although could use him in Atlanta...hmmm

seriously ??? you really think He would get back to 100% and not play the second half of what could be a championship season?? Also very doubtful he stay 4 years anyway

Disagree. We don't need Kirkland for the last six games (we should win them easily); we need him Saturday. Beating Alabama would effectively clinch the East and be a godsend for recruiting, so I say throw him out there.

If he reinjures the ankle we can shelve him again until Atlanta.

I'm not so sure about Missouri. They've really impressed. Atleast from what Ive seen, I haven't seen a full game yet.

Tape the thing up and play. 14 days til the next game (and we could probably win the next several w/o DK)

To date his play has been quite disappointing. For a high 5 star pick, his play is underwhelming. Injuries are what they are but he hasn't been the star we hoped for when he committed.

LWS do you think he will be able to play anytime this year? Did his ankle get worse this week? I thought he was moving around good- who the hell are we going to play at LB this week? McDowell is out too?
