Difference between Kiffin and Dooley

Saw this from the ESPN article by Chris Low and thought it was very fitting. Really gives me hope for the future!

Never has there been a more celebrated 7-6 season in Tennessee history than the one a year ago. A lot of that was Kiffin bemoaning his lack of talent all season, even though the Vols had six players drafted, including two in the first round.

Dooley has spent more time coaching than bemoaning, and when you look at all the young players contributing in this program, the future is indeed bright in Big Orange Country.

That might be the most accurate statement about the coaching situation that Ive ever heard. Nice!

There's no doubt he did. Take away Bray, James, Fulton, Jackson, Teague, Gordon, et al, and we're really hurting.

I had kiffin vision and will be the first to admit it. I think he would have done well if he had stayed but I am so glad we have Dooley I wouldnt trade him for any coach right now because I think he will be successful and I think he will stay for a long time.

I've said it over and over. At the end of his year, we were better then he nuked us the second that he left. Really, he wasn't around long enough to make much positive impact other than a few players.

I understand if y'all got high after the game, and after a solid first season with Dooley, but Kiffin left the program better than he found it?

Kiffin did hurt us by leaving... Any time a coach leaves for a new destination it will hurt.

But some of our biggest playmakers this season were guys that Kiffin landed.

I know this is kinda like a "but what about all the good things Hitler did?" type of argument, but the facts are out there.

This statement is a lie and you should be banned for posting it over and over.

Simms, Bray, Jawuan James, Zach Fulton, Marsalis Teague, Janzen Jackson, Channing Fugate, Michael Palardy and Corey Miller were all 100% Kiffin. The big names Dooley signed (Stone, Hunter, Da'Rick) were guys he could not have gotten in two weeks without Kiffin having done so much leg work. That's no knock on Dooley, it's just the hand he was dealt taking the job at such a bad time. Fortunately, he appears to have a pretty solid class lined up that will hopefully fill the holes Kiffin did not address with his two half classes.
