Gutsy kid, one helluva QB.

I doubt he makes it through the season w/o significant injury, just given his playing style.

He is the type of QB I wish Heupel would recruit and sign through the portal. Somehow Vanderbilt 'found' him. Wonder how that happened?

As I have said, if Heupel is waiting for great players to suddenly appear in the portal, he is on a fool's errand. He has GOT to be more proactive and create portal opportunities....like say.....Vanderbilt did.
Is that not what he did when he signed the QB from Appy State? Very good chance that is going to work out. The kid is 6'3'' 220 pounds that seems to know when to use his legs to extend plays and drives. If he can hit 2-3 deep balls that Nico missed on consistently, we've probably upgraded.

You're kidding, right? We lost Nico (and that was not Heupel's fault to be clear) and Nico displaced Aguilar. Heup literally had the guy fall into his lap. Is he an upgrade over Nico? Time will tell, but it was hardly Heup making an opportunity.

Pavia followed Tim Beck to Vandy. Beck was his OC at New Mexico I believe. Think that’s correct anyways been a while since I’ve heard the story but I think that mostly accurate

So in that case I'd wager Beck reached out and created the opportunity for Pavia to enter the portal as part of his move. That's being proactive and showing urgency. Heup NEEDS to do that more, FIND guys and manage their portal transfer. Not wait for them to fall into the portal and hope to sign them. It's a major difference, and it's what the successful coaches are doing.

How did this guy not make All SEC? Maybe stats. But by the eye test there wasn't a player in the conference even close to the elevation this kid did for his team.

So, who offered the kid a scholarship?

😂 it’s a blind squirrel finding a nut. Heupel has been very successful with portal players although not nearly as flashy as one would like. There are some limitations already in place when you’re up against some teams. We went hard after a portal WR just couldn’t get it done for a few reasons; none of which are controllable.

Have you been to Nashville lately? Bout the only thing you won't find is a native Tennessean.
We've lived in the Nashville area 45 years. I won't even go downtown; don't get me started. As for little Pavia...bring the mouthy stuff, twerp. Pain is in your future.

this stuff never ends well.

hes been talking ab Alabama and Tennessee and Vandy has to go to both places. Clark Lea prob wishes this mf would just shut up.

We already ate this guy for lunch and we will do it again. This is the type of stuff Heupel low key lives for. He wont say a word about it but he will remember it and now he will try to put 65 on you.
