Did you have the facts

There are plenty of other people who say Schiano is innocent. Use google this morning. Getting roasted by all the people that have enough sense to sleep on something before speaking.

Which our fanbase didn't have the sense to do.

You’re an embarrassment

The guy thinks a known child rapist is innocent. Let that sink in. He’s obviously going to be biased in his thoughts on this.

Guy who wrote this thinks Sandusky is innocent. That tells me all I need to know.

Exactly, the OP should be embarrassed for citing it. The writer of that is a tin foil hat guy who believes that Sandusky was framed in order to take away wins from Joe Paterno and ruin his legacy.

Might as well cite Alex Jones.

My apologies for the late catch up. Went to bed last night while our fanbase realized what they did. The next few years are going to suck so bad.

Uhhhhh the last 8 years have sucked so bad. This is nothing but people finally fighting back.

This kind of pain is nothing like what we've already endured.

If Shiano is such a great coach why were we they only school out there pursuing him? Lot's of jobs open.

There’s zero evidence that he knew anything. Can you even read?

How do you know for sure? I mean how do you figure this?

If he knew nothing and saw nothing then why didn't he sue McQuery for defamation of character?

Why would he just stand by and allow that report to come out last year to basically call his character into question?

He might not have seen anything, but you can't honestly sit there and tell me he might not have suspected anything.

I read a post from a brilliant person which stated Schiano was cheap and eager. I agree.

Right. It was Rutgers.

Go and look at the records of the teams that he beat in those years...

That vaunted 11-2 season had wins over

North Carolina, 3-9
Illinois, 2-10
Ohio, 9-4
Howard (LOL), 4-8
S.Florida, 8-4
Navy, 8-4
Pitt, 6-6
Connecticut, 4-8
Louisville, 11-1
Syracuse, 0-12
Kansas State, 7-5

So you want to argue that he's a 'great coach' because he upset Louisville? That was literally his best season ever, and only five of Rutgers' opponents ended the season with winning records.

and he only did this after the big boys of UM, VaTech and others had left the conference.

He might be innocent. He might be guilty as hell. Do you think that opposing coaches would have used this guy's PSU background against him in recruiting? Yep, and UT would lost every time. There's not way to defend him or UT if he is your HC. It sucks but it's a dirty business.

Did you seriously read that op Ed? This guy stares unequivocally that has researched this case more than anyone. That statement alone is enough to make anyone reading to realize he is a hack. However the fact remains that McCreay stated under oath that Schiano knew, the fact that it was a civil trial makes no difference. Perjury is perjury and McCreary could be held accountable.

Why hasn't Schiano and Bradley sued McCreary? I think most of us would either have aired him or beat his ass.

This is simply an opinion piece that has no more validity to it than a VN post and reeks of a paid job to me.

Uh, no, McQueary testified that someone told him that that Shiano had mentioned something about seeing something. That is double hearsay long after the fact. Not saying it shouldn't be taken into account in making a hiring decision but its a very, very thin accusation to attack a man with.

If he was at Penn State when Sandusky was there then there is a great chance that he knew or at least heard what Sandusky might be doing. Does nobody believe that coaches on the same staff do not talk to each other ? It also has been reported that while at Tampa Bay he directed players to cheap shot the opposing offense on a kneel down play at the end of the game of half.

Sorry, Greg Schiano is not entitled to this job. Why the **** do we even want to have to explain why a coach was innocent in a pedophilia case? No thanks

Yet, he was offered and took a job as an NFL coach. Even though he wasn't successful, people who know football hired him. Not a tremendous amount of college head coaches get offered head coaching jobs in the NFL.

Spurrier, Saban, Carroll, J. Johnson, Erickson, Bud Wilkinson, Switzer, etc. Some succeeded, some failed. Somebody was impressed with his body of work to offer him an NFL gig.

And the GM who looked at his pitiful record at Rutgers and still decided to make him the Bucs head coach, Mark Dominik, was fired along with Schiano, and hasn't worked as a GM since.

So, forgive me if I don't put much stock on Shiano getting an NFL job offer.
