Did you guys read between the lines on DDs superman comment?

If I am right why not?

Maybe Hart is "Smarter" than we think?

you aren't right. The commentary about the overwhelming strength of our schedule is ridiculous. UF is massively flawed, UGA can't play any defense and Murray is deer in the headlights and USC was hurt and had an iffy QB. MSU is just flat mediocre. We had enough talent to be in all those games and to stumble ass backward into winning at least one. We pissed away every single one of them. Shockingly enough, that has been the trend for the entirety, freaking entirety, of Dooley's HC career.

If the AD wants the coach gone, where are you going?

Hart needed to pee or get off the pot last year.

He decided to take a big ole crap and I give you the UT defense under Sal Sunseri.

You didn't answer my question?

Fair or not, Dooley is gone. He had to beat someone that mattered this year. He didn't do it.

Fair doesn't matter and never should. If his contract is honored then it is "fair".

The only relevant question is what is best for the program. You nailed it. Dooley needed to prove he could beat a good team and coach. No one left on the schedule allows him to do that.

You guys will learn to listen to me....

I told many of you that he had to prove himself by year three or the "hot seat" would hurt recruiting making him a liability to the future of the program. I said this within weeks of him being hired when most were saying that Vol fans would be patient for the 4 to 6 years it would take to rebuild the program. UT does not have a home recruiting base that allows for that kind of patience. It DOES have expectations that preclude that kind of patience.

I have always argued he should get a chance with a credible roster. I consistently said that his odds for success were under 50%.

Dooley had two ways to be a "successful" hire. One, prove he was an elite SEC coach. Two, rebuild the program so a top shelf coach could be hired and succeed.

He was a successful hire in the 2nd case.

I will put in more words this time OK?

If an assistant knows the AD wants the coach gone,
would you do what they did?

You asked me an opposing question based on a theory...fact is, you are speculating. You don't know that.

Swain claims the exact opposite. He claims those coaches left last year because they couldn't get along with Dooley.

But we'll play your speculation...if the AD wants the HC gone, and the assistants know it...why isn't he gone already?

I love Swain don't get me wrong but Swain has had conversations with me in the past...I kid but not on that.

And that should tell you something

You guys try to Defend Dooley by saying Hart forced him, Hart Hired him etc... It's simply not true. Dooley chose Sal .Periode. Both Dooley and Hart have stated This!

Sal was "stronly suggested" by Hart. Our back 4 is dragging down our whole D. Our front 7 has played pretty good and consistent, especially with banged up lb's. Our scheme has had to be compensated so much for the lack of play in our secondary that they're having to use the front 7 to plug the holes in the dam instead of turning them loose. Our DB's simply weren't very good athletes coming in and they haven't developed. DB's were a problem under Wilcox and they're a bigger problem now with new DC and scheme.

I think Dooley was told before the season that if he won the games he was supposed to and either had an October upset or atleast kept those games close for 60 minutes, then won a bowl that he was safe. There was no internal expectation to compete for SEC east, your in the 3rd year of building out from what was essentially a 3 year deficit (2007-2009 classes bombed out), and building for 2014 and beyond to compete for Atlanta. Most of the pressure from Dooley is coming from outside the program, boosters, etc. Why not make the drastic changes that needed to be made, coaches, schemes, etc.

Pre-season most of us thought 7-5 or 8-4 for a reason, and now people are upset for a team that is in-line with expectations. Truth is we're alot closer than most of our fans can see. A cousin who played HS ball with a 2 1/2 year UT starter and was a 1-AA All-Conference, All-American at DE and had 3 sacks, 2 blocked kicks against an SEC team watched Bama and SC with me and agreed that the defense was lacking talent and the scheme was mostly on point. We have maybe 2 SEC calibur DB's, it takes recruiting cycles, we're almost there.

UT fans need to decide, do they want instant gratification and be Auburn in 2014 or do they want to compete to play Alabama or LSU in Atlanta in 2014-2015 and beyond.
