Dooley's third and last year, he didn't even contact the top player in the state. Jones's first year, signs the states top prospect. C'mon man

In 2012, CDD did not sign a single O-Lineman out of 22 players. However, CBJ only signed 4 O-lineman in 2014 out of 32 players knowing he had to replace an entire O-Line.
(Blair, Mosley, RR, Thomas). I am in no way doubting the recruiting effort and talent of CBJ, but I would think we needed a few more O-lineman.

Just hush

he had to replace most of the team, not just the OL.

If Blair had come into camp in better shape and more prepared, I think the OL would have a completely different makeup and be possibly somewhat better. Gilliam getting hurt hasn't helped either. Can't build an OL and/or OL depth with 1 recruiting class.

Clearly, given the results, he should have recruited better players or more experienced JUCO guys for the position. Or hired a better O-Line coach. Or perhaps all 3.
It is always the coaches fault....even when said coach is trying to turn Dooley's left over Chicken $#!T into Chicken Salad :dunno:

CBJ
2013- Kendrick, Sanders, Wiesman
2014- Blair, Mosley, RR, Thomas

2010 Dooley came in at the last minute as well. The point I was "weakly" attempting to make was that Dooley should not take all the blame for where we are on the O-Line. He is an easy scapegoat, but looking back he did sign 10 O-Lineman in his 3 years. The quality of those kids is pretty outstanding. Let's give CBJ the 2015 class and see it compares.

Clear & Posey? Outstanding?

I think signing a class like 2011 (6 O-Line) in 2013 or 2014 would have put us in a much better position than we are in now. Skilled players are nice on paper, but when the whistle blows you need the lineman to get things done.

Troll much?

We will see if we have 4 NFL lineman in CBJ's 1st 3 classes. Probably not going to happen from what I've seen.

Kiffin's staff recruited both Juwaun James and Zach Fulton.

James was an EE on campus before Dooley was hired.

Dooley:
2010 (4 O-line) signed- Fulton, Juwaan James, Stone, Pair (3 are in the NFL)
2011 (6 O-line) signed- Cameron Clear (starts at A&M), Crowder, Jackson, Kerb, Posey, Tiny
2012 (ZERO)
2012 was Dooley's downfall. He did a good job in 2010 and 2011 getting future NFL players.

And compare these players to 2013 and 2014 class.

Give me a break. He took over on Jan 15th. He had less than 1 month to keep things from meltdown a la what happened to Vandy when Franklin left.
