Did CBJ do much better than CDD?

Dear Mods-

Is a dislike button too much to ask for? Even Yahoo has one and their site does not hold a candle to Volnation.

OP failed math obviously. 4>0. Try to think next time before starting a thread as epically dumb as this one.

Dooley:
2010 (4 O-line) signed- Fulton, Juwaan James, Stone, Pair (3 are in the NFL)
2011 (6 O-line) signed- Cameron Clear (starts at A&M), Crowder, Jackson, Kerb, Posey, Tiny
2012 (ZERO)
2012 was Dooley's downfall. He did a good job in 2010 and 2011 getting future NFL players.

And compare these players to 2013 and 2014 class.

It is amazing that "fans" of the Vols don't really even know what is going on with the team. They look at the box score and watch the game (probably drunk) and then form an opinion in their inebriated state of mind.

The level of utter insanity on this site is reaching epic proportions. I think the servers are going to simply explode from all of the duality of posts. It is impossible to escape the posts on either extreme, although the negative posts are getting far worse at a faster pace.

Just on topic for the original question...yes four linemen plus Robertson is greater than 0.

Four linemen PLUS Robertson PLUS Big Charles who may end up on the line...

... let's sign 30 linemen so we can become the only team in the country to go retro and run the "Flying V"... 10 oline and a ballcarrier... suprise the crap out of some teams!

Yeah, that's the ticket!

1 - Has not played
2 - Was and is a Tight End.
3 - Did not play a down and left team.

Jones had better take a look at some 5th year transfers. If he repeats the same starting 5 next year or tries to throw the incoming freshmen into the fire before they're ready, he will have a hard time winning enough games to guarantee his job in 2016.

CBJ
2013- Kendrick, Sanders, Wiesman
2014- Blair, Mosley, RR, Thomas

2010 Dooley came in at the last minute as well. The point I was "weakly" attempting to make was that Dooley should not take all the blame for where we are on the O-Line. He is an easy scapegoat, but looking back he did sign 10 O-Lineman in his 3 years. The quality of those kids is pretty outstanding. Let's give CBJ the 2015 class and see it compares.

Thank you for adding to the point I was making. So 2 kids out of 10 didn't work. Clear is a stud who will be drafted at TE. Dooley couldn't keep him from the laptop.

You need to look at the entire 3 years Dooley was here. He had taken 10 O-Lineman in the previous 2 years. You probably have bashed him for not signing one in 2012 and you are probably blaming him for where we are now on the O-line. It's always Dooleys fault.

In 2012, CDD did not sign a single O-Lineman out of 22 players. However, CBJ only signed 4 O-lineman in 2014 out of 32 players knowing he had to replace an entire O-Line.
(Blair, Mosley, RR, Thomas). I am in no way doubting the recruiting effort and talent of CBJ, but I would think we needed a few more O-lineman.

A quick comparison:

2009: 2-JerQuari Schofield 3*OT and Kevin Revis, 3*OG
2010: 4--Darin Gooch NR C; James Stone 3*OT; JaWuan James 4*OT; Marquez Pair 3*OT
2011: 6--Antonio Richardson 4*OT; Cameron Clear 4*OT; Marcus Jackson 3*OG; Kyler Kerbyson 4*OT; Mack Crowder 3*C; Alan Posey 3*OG
2012: 0
2013: 3--Dylan Wiesman 3*OG; Brett Kendrick 2* OT; Austin Sanders 3*OT
2014: 3--Dontavious Blair 4*OT; Ray Raulerson 3*OT; Coleman Thomas 3*C and we converted 3*DT Jashon Robertson to OG.

So, in 2009, Kiffin recruited 2
From 2010 to 2012, Dooley brought in 10 that were initially shown as OLinemen, of those 3 are still on the roster.
In 2 years, Butch has recruited 7 and there are 4 walk ons/awarded scholarship players for a total of 14 Olinemen.

From what I understand, 10 OL (again 1 was always intended to be a TE) in 3 years is not going to cut it on an SEC team. Several on the list from earlier are not here to help this year at all.
