That is disgraceful and pathetic. Regardless of what side of the fence you are on with JG, that man has sweat and bled for this program. He has put his body through absolute hell trying to win games. He was BM’s biggest fan and first level of support Saturday.

Everyone who was booing, screw you. JG deserves more respect right now than you ever will in your entire lifetime.

Was at the game in the middle of UT fans section S and some UGA fans. The booing was from the Georgia fans at a penalty called on them or lack of one called on us on the previous play(s) not Vol fans booing JG. I can see how on TV it could have sounded like booing JG. It was not our fans as trust me I have neighbor Vol fans I sit near will boo at our team if given the chance which disgusts me. I’m sure there were some UT fans booing but it was mostly from upper deck and UGA section.

But, but what about Kirby celebrating a scoop and score, showing Herschel plays, and...and...Fromm singing stuff???????

I was as pissed as anyone about JG going into the game (didnt realize that BM may have been hurt) but FFS, you don't boo a guy who has taken that many hits for us. JG is doing the best he can. For some reason, possibly the clobbering he has taken, he cant get the headspace right or get his team mates to follow him. I am glad Maurer is stepping up but I am happy JG is still there to sub in if required and want to give him the respect he has certainly earned.

I really hope this is the case.

I’m pretty sure everyone noticed it. Not a good look in my opinion.
Probably not a good look, but I'd place the blame on the athletic department. The result over that past decade along with getting a peek of how dysfunctional the athletic department runs during the last coaching search, has forever disgruntled part of the fan base.

The stupid media, especially those on the early portion of 99.1, were broadcasting how sorry the Tennessee fan were for booing when JG entered the game Those idiots and Hymes make me sick with their constant selective negative reporting. Yesterday, it was refreshing to hear Judge Tim Irvin disagree with Hymes who had expressed his normal negative comments on the Georgia game. I only listen to that show to hear the Judge. One of the few sane persons on the radio. In Knoxville.

Fully agreed. Heard it (on tv) and was embarrassed as a fan. JG may not have what we need, but he came here and wears the orange and did his best.

Hope all those booing saw him on the sidelines discussing situations with Maurer and also saw him run out to check in Maurer after he got hurt. Hope that makes them feel guilty about their little temper tantrum.

Seriously, he might not be the QB we hoped, but he sure as heck could be another coach on the sidelines. I feel his knowledge is great (from practice performances) but his game time execution is what is lacking.

No way man, im one of the most outspoken against the ad and cjp and the current direction of the program on this board. I would never boo a player, especially for going in the game. This is a personal choice, not the fault of the ad.

Why are you mad at the media for covering a story? And it is a story.

I thought the same thing. UGA fans ticked at a hold not called IIRC.

Victim mentality. Your behavior is someone else’s fault. No class is no class period.

I have to agree with you there...I have not been a JG fan on the football field but there is absolutely no reason to boo that kid...He has tried his best.

It's a part of today's society that I can't stand...the cancel culture. So JG didn't live up to the expectations as UT's QB. That doesn't mean he should be eliminated from existence. The booing was horrible! When BM got rocked on 1 hit, JG was the 1st one out there to help him up. Kid has more class in him than a lot of our fanbase that choose to have their identity defined by how a group of 18-22 year olds play a game. Sad.

Now get off my lawn!

On tv, it did sound like booing directed at JG or at CJP for putting JG in the game.
