I haven't played this game in months. Bought HoW because why not, did the first mission solo. Easy enough. Pretty fun though. I like the scorcher weapon you can use.

GHorn sitting at 365 already. I like that. Anyone know how to get the etheric light?

I'm assuming you have to do all the missions/bounties before you can do the raid or whatever it is? What is it exactly?

Prison of Elders is like a hoard mode of sorts.

Really underwhelmed with HoW personally. They went from grind for levels to grind for keys to get lucky and get gear which of your lucky you will get what's needed to level up your gear. Hopefully Osiris impresses a little more. At this point I'm just hold out for ESOL.

Got 2 new Legendary headgear drops, 2 primary, 1 secondary, and 1 heavy drop last night running one character doing bounties, nightfall, and what ever else was to do.
Which it took awhile to go through some of this to get these drops.
Finally got 2 keys. Used one last night.

The PoE isn't to bad but my Hunter is only a level 31. So pretty difficult for me.
Hopefully go through with another character tonight....

I did level my Icebreaker, GHorn, a lot of my exotics that I use, leveled them to 365.

Not trying to be a dick here but what did you expect? A fundamentally different game? Raid? I mean destiny, at its core, is a loot and shoot grinder. I had fun playing the story and nightfall. The prison was ok, not nearly as challenging as a raid but still nice you can do it with three. I like the ability to forge weapons and upgrade existing gear. Overall it's a welcome new addition to a game that was getting a bit old for me

That's just it, I expected it to be a grind still, now it's more dependent on the RNG than ever both for armor drops and materials to upgrade armor (until lvl 35 PoE I believe). I don't know, it just didn't blow me away.

Got ya. It's not what I expected at all but it makes the game life a little longer for me.

I'm enjoying it. I can see it getting old in a few weeks but that is because I've already played it since launch. Tons to do now. A new player today is getting a really cool, long experience.

I'm ready for level 32 PoE tonight.

Yea, the treasure keys is what I hate. Doing the Queen's bounties last week with a friend. Between 2 characters he got 3 treasure keys, I got 0.

I know it's RNG but it seems like some people just have bad RNG. Like their predisposed to getting screwed while others get stuff dropped to them pretty often.

Got through it, got Suoros (deleted) a key and Her Benevolance. Which is a sniper. Reforged it twice. Ended up with worse perks each time. I know it was just level 28 but it's a breeze.

You should give shotguns a try sometime. I never used them until recently. The swordbreaker, new shottys, and the 4th horseman are useful in tight spots or taking down yellow bar guys. I switch to one often when doing mines in PoE.

New shotguns can have a full auto mode but I'm not sure how fast they are. 4th is insane.
