They should do away with him. He sucks. Just increase the rng rate for exotics and have the gunsmith sell the upgrades.

Vendor system makes no sense.

Anyone else on xbox having party/friends list issues? Was doing crotas end 1st part and my fireteam lost comm. doesn't show anyone online for me.

I've finally progressed in a 2nd character. At 19 with my hunter. Got some gear waiting once I hit 20. Just bought the exotic helmet that Xur is selling.

Finally got my Hunter past level 31 with one piece of raid gear and exotic head gear. I have exotic chest piece for titan, now I need raid gear to get him past level 31. Haven't worked on my warlock in awhile, still a 29.......I still need shards, radiant shards, all kinds of shards, have plenty of energy. Have almost 200 energy. Only 4 shards, 3 radiant shards. I have a lot more exotic shards than regular shards...lol.....

Just to put things in perspective, you need roughly 9-12 complete runs through the Crota raid to get to level 32. It's possible to shorten by a run or two if you get lucky with the drops and get more than 2 shards or armor on the lamps and bridges every time.

So, if you've only got 1 character...that's more than 2 months you'll be waiting. That's a long grind. I can't imagine new players sticking with it using a single character. And if you have more than 1 type of character, it's going to take you quite awhile to get all three to 32 as it stands now.

I'll probably never get to level 32. I now have trouble finding a raid party. Some of the folks I play with have been have been doing Crota's End weeknights when I'm at work. My opportunity to actually play is Sat/Sun/Mon. So when I'm able to raid, half the people don't want to.

Between two characters since this raid has been available, I've done the lamps twice, brindge/deathsinger once, and Crota twice.

That's it.

destinylfg.com should have folks looking to do the raid. I would imagine finding groups to do the whole thing might not the easiest. Monday's should be busy with folks looking to do it before the reset.

While it's possible, I've been doing the lamps and bridge section by myself (or with Freak if he's around). It's just easier than getting a group together and hoping they all make it and can do their job. I think it's fun having 6 and doing it proper, but quicker and easier solo.

Pro Tip for anyone that doesn't know....if you get the 2nd chest after the hallway before the doors close, you get roughly 10 minutes with it. Should be time to change characters and rejoin a few times. Freak and I do it once, then alternate switching characters so they can all grab it easily and get the radiant shards/energy.

I've thought about just concentrating on one character, I actually like my Titan and Warlock better then my Hunter, but my Hunter is the only thing I've received raid gear from doing the raid. So actually I don't know what I want to do.......:crazy:

Took your suggestion and tried it solo. Dang! Never knew it was that easy. First run through on my Titan I got shards at first section and energy on 2nd section.

Ran again with my 2nd Titan. Got the raid gauntlets and shard on first section. Got the raid chest armor and energy on the 2nd section.

Should have tried this before. Do you known if you can get weapons on the first two sections or is it only beating crota? I've got the song of ir yut and black hammer. Both came from beating crota. Can't remember seeing anyone get weapons from first parts outside of that very first chest at the beginning. And even then that's been exotic.

Just did the nightfall/weekly. 16 strange coins. If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

Better than me. First Nightfall I did today gave me....drumroll.....5 strange coins. Awesome.

However, luck was back on my side. 1st chest in Crota gave me the Dragon's Breath exotic. First non shard/energy I've gotten from that chest so far.

Tried to get that first chest solo, it never appeared. Only tried a handful of times though.

There's 7 possible spots for it and it respawns each time you die. It's just a matter of doing it over and over til it's in door #1.

1st chest took forever for me today. Usually it's there after 3-5 tries. Today it had to be at least 20-30.
