Had a heck of a night last night. Got the Vex Mythoclast in the VoG Raid, Thunderlord in the Nightfall, No Land Beyond as a crucible reward, and the Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Warlock helmet) from leveling up my Vanguard rank.

Spawn, no chest, die. 15 seconds maybe. Ran to 2nd door but thrall usually got me. Day off so I was just goofing around.

Nightfall has not been kind to me lately. Previous 4 nightfalls- 3 arc fusion rifles and 1 crappy pulse rifle. Today I got 5 ascendant energy.

Ran VoG with a few friends last night and finally got Atheons Epilogue. 300 max, but nice to have void primary.

Epilogue is still a good gun. People get too caught up in 300 vs 331, it's all situational.

Yup. Ghorn is the only weapon that I really want. I've bought most every exotic weapon for sale/done all the bouties. I'd spend all every coin in my vault for Ghorn if that's what Xur sold it for.

Only thing I want outside of Ghorn is Helm of Saint 14. Funnest thing we've done lately is punch Omnigull to death. My buddy drops a Titan bubble on that bridge where she hangs out. She's blinded in the bubble and just sits there with her hands over her face. Me and my buddy start the melees and whoever the 3rd person is, even if random, instinctively starts in too.

I keep going through the new raid and not coming up with much luck, lots of energy and raid gear I already have. We do the 2nd part (the bridge) the easy way (have a warlock start the bridge solo, the die and self-resurrect) but we can't for the life of us get to the second chest. Tonight was the closest we've gotten to it, we could see the door closing, prolly about a second or two too late. Any suggestions? When exactly does the timer start?

I think the timer starts on the second shrieker but I'm not sure anyone is 100% certain. When Freak and I do it, I launch a ghorn rocket, run a tiny bit and jump towards the 2nd one and fire another rocket. Each rocket takes them down. Freak just tries to run (and shoot the 2nd one if I miss or die). Both of us try and make it past but usually only one does. Dodging the cursed guy at the end is the real trick.

Freak and I successfully 2-man'ed the Deathsinger tonight. Took about 10 tries but we finally got her down.

Next, we used the disconnect cheese and 2-man'ed Crota on all our characters. It was quick and efficient.

I thought the timer starts 1 min from when you start the part at the 2nd chest before th first shrieker. Saw a youtube vid where the guy had counter. But maybe he was hitting a diff spot that starts the timer and didn't realize it. I haven't been able to solo the 2nd chest. Takes at least one friend.

If you have a few min to kill, I was impressed with this. Dude solos the entire raid without dying in 27 min. He didn't cheese the lamps. He didn't cheese the deathsinger or Crota. He had to use the sword to fly across the gatekeeper's bridge (I enjoy doing this) but still killed everything legit.

Witness the power of Helm of Saint 14 at the first bridge. :)

How many chest are there in the new raid? I've found 2, the one behind door 1 or door 2, and the one past the shrieker's across the bridge. Most everyone know about these chest but are there anymore?

I nearly had the Deathsinger done by myself last night before Freak joined in. That part is really strange and we never could figure out the timers there. A couple times we had both witches down but the shriekers didn't show up for another minute. Other times, she'd start singing and we'd have 30 seconds while still taking down the first witch. No knights were shot either time. Strange. (not sure it's really useful, but we figured out the LDR with penetrating bullets will go through the ground...meaning you can shoot the 2 witches from below forcing them out. You don't have to run into that area to lure them out this way...saves you a few seconds)

My next goal is to solo Crota. I don't think it will be that hard, but it will take some practice. Kill swordbearer, go to ledge, rocket crota, strike with sword...repeat til dead.

Now, about the hallway discussion and the 2nd chest....I've read a lot of theories on how the door is triggered. First, it seemed like a minute, but Freak and I (along with videos I've seen) have seen it close quicker than a minute. Fairly sure that's not it. I'm in the camp that believes it's the 2nd shrieker starting up or dying, or when you reach a certain threshold. I've done it solo once, but it's sort of dumb luck being able to jump through there without getting hit. A second person normally helps most with the shrieker flares that come after when it dies. They tend to seek out one person, leaving the other one a more open lane past them.

Did VoG on hard last night, got the raid boots 3 times. Then used my Hunter to do it on normal and I got Icebreaker. Finally.

Heck yeah. Now let's hope Xur has the upgrade for your new Ice Breaker tomorrow. Everyone should have one.

11 useless shards for nightfall this week. Then red hand 9 hand cannon, then 5 coins. Still need to finish last stage of raid on my 3 characters

If you want to disconnect glitch on Crota sometime, let me know. I don't have the checkpoint, but if we get that, we can 2-man it no problem.

Did the Crota Raid tonight. Got Hunger of Crota and a bunch of radiant energy/shards.
