I've been playing quite a bit but it looks like I may play more starting the 23rd.

I just hope they don't make the enemies so high level that you have to be something like level 25 to even damage them.

I think Destiny's biggest problem is that it tries too hard to be all things to all people. And as a result it doesn't excel at any one thing (other than the mechanics and the graphics).

However the bottom line for me is this, I am not typically an online gamer, nor a player of shooters. I generally hate multiplayer games, and value story above everything else in a good game. Having said that, Destiny holds my attention. The story sucks, the RPG bits are way undercooked, the missions are incomprehensible, there are no characters at all and the universe is disjointed, but somehow there's a draw to it. I don't know how long that draw will last, but they've got me for the moment. Whether or not they keep me is up to Bungie. The RPG stuff is just deep enough to function, the levels are very well done, the gameplay is straightforward. There's something to it that keeps me coming back over and over.

Got burned by my first legendary engram today. It was a legendary helmet, but for a Hunter. I'm a Titan. Worthless.

Also got an exotic bounty but it hardly looks worth the effort. Did the moon strike mission, but still have to kill 500 enemies on the moon , get so many crucible points(maintain positive k/d) with void damage only, then kill some boss on the Level 26 version of summoning pits strike mission that randomly appears after phogoth is unchained. I'd have to grind for days to just get to level 26 alone.

All that for a hand cannon that has 260 attack. I've come across rare weapons that are almost that high.

I'm not a game developer, but isn't the bulk of the work in the gameplay development?

I mean, just for starters how hard would it be to create some story for future updates and include some decent cut scenes?

This is by far one of the best FPS shooters I have played in awhile. Even though I am far from good at FPS, I am really enjoying this game.

RockyTopPE, sorry my mic was charging and the reason I was riding around crazy was that I was trying to find the golden chests.

I played a bit last night and something that dawned on me that I hadn't thought about since I've bought the game. Destiny has no dual weapon wielding! I was sort of taken aback by that once I realized it. Bungie games have had this since I can remember. I'm a bit shocked they didn't put in Destiny. I'm sure it has to do with balancing but still, can't believe it's not in here.

Good find, Brave. I completely agree with the author. I hate that I have not made time to play Destiny much since it's release.

My big gripe about the crucible, how are there net code issues on a 6v6 game. There are too many trade kills, I will kill a guy and then his last hit registers late and kills me a few seconds later.

Yeah, I figured. I had already found the Mars chests, so I recognized where you were going. I just wanted to try out coop with someone besides a random. Nobody ever uses their mics in matchmaking.

Tskip2489 psn lvl 25 hunter looking for people to do strikes and raids with. Did one mission for the queen tonight and netted a exotic helmet that was 280 defense.

finally got a chance to fire this up recently. Really odd learning curve to it and they don't really explain much up front. Still a really fun game with huge potential.

Difficult solo, but not impossible. I found the exp/loot honey hole at the cave in Old Russia - went from lvl 4 to 8 in a couple of hours last night.

What is the level range for fire teams? can a lvl 8 roll with lvl 20s?

Yes, level 20 can roll with level 8. Your higher level friends will definitely be able to help on the missions and strikes etc.
